Positive: Fantastic location, short walk to: - Museumplein (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum etc) - Heineken experience - boat tours on the canal - Vondelpark with its lovely gardens and outdoor bar - streets full of restaurants, bars, cafes - public transport (trams at the end of the street although we walked all over town instead) Lovely apartment in a 150 year old building, delightfully restored/renovated. Nice new bathroom with hot high pressure shower. Comfortable bed, AC. Very peaceful and quiet with a lovely leafy outlook to the rear. The Owner Ferry was extremely helpful in explaining the city and the local area, history of the building and offered to answer any questions, any time via WhatsApp. Fantastic service.
Negative: Nothing. The stair is steep and narrow which might be an issue for some. But very common for these old buildings in Amsterdam (no lift). It was fine for us, especially given the host, Ferry took our bags up 3 flights when we arrived and down when we left.
Summary: Brilliant stay in Amsterdam in a beautiful traditional building in a perfect location. Highly recommended.

Negative: It’s not a hotel. There is no any hotel facilities, not even small lobby to sit, before hiking up the stairs (no lift)

Positive: Ferry, the owner/property manager, was exceptionally friendly, attentive and helpful. Very likeable person who went out of his way to make our stay a memorable one. From making sure he was there to greet us when we arrived, to the complimentary, beer and wine and snacks, and the fresh flowers, to seeing us off in an Uber at the end of our stay. Excellent two room layout, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, windows that opened up onto a view of a backdoor garden, and a view of the Rijkmuseum.
Negative: The ONLY negative is that our room was on the third floor with a steep walk up stairway, with no elevator. That was not a big deal for us, in our late 60s, because we are in good health, but could be for some people. Having said that, Ferry would not even think of letting us carry our luggage up upon arrival, or down upon departure. Too the stairway walls are gorgeously decorated with paintings that make you feel like you are already in the Rijksmuseum, there are bannisters on both sides of the stairs, it is nicely carpeted, and extremely well lit.
Summary: Excellent apartment, in a beautiful building, in a nice, quiet area of Amsterdam. Highly recommend.

Positive: Where do we begin? The pictures do not do justice with this beautiful room and beautiful hotel. Our garden suite was nothing less from perfect. Every small detail was done to perfection. The fireplace, the heated floors, the treats in the drawers and the fridge, candles in the bathroom and I can go on and on. This is truly a 5 stars hotel (is there higher than 5?). We loved the room so much we stayed there much more than we planned. Pure magic. The location is perfect for walking almost anywhere and our host Ferry was the perfect gentleman, so lind an welcoming. Thank you Ferry for an unforgettable vacation and thank you for the extra effort showing us your home and other rooms and for the extra service with my headphones. We will come back, that is a promise
