This French country-style cabin is set amongst our private woods in Leelanau County. It is a place to relax and enjoy the quietness of the woods. This will be your home away from home, for sure.
From the moment you enter the driveway from the main road, it will take you back into the woods to your cabin. This cabin is so quaint when you open the door. It has a fully equipped kitchen. It has a screened-in porch to relax, enjoy a meal, drink, chill, and read a book in our swing chair. We also have complimentary local wine from Leelanau for all of our guests. Enjoy that glass of wine by sitting in our relaxing chairs on the patio by the fire table.
The cabin is conveniently located near many activities, restaurants, and beaches. The bike trail is approximately 1/2 mile from the cabin locations, with Traverse City and Suttons Bay nearby. The nearest local winery is a short 2-minute drive north, deeper into Leelanau Peninsula wine country.
Whether you desire comfortable, quiet solitude at the cabin or prefer exploring the unique area of Leelanau Country and surrounding counties, it is up to you.

Summary: Perfect getaway with a close proximity to downtown Traverse City as well as Sutton’s Bay and surrounding wineries. Terry and Beth answered every question we had almost immediately. Need to come back in the summer to see what the property looks like without 4 feet of snow

Summary: This cottage, and all the cottages on property are an absolute gem. We've stayed on property many times and always enjoy our time at the French Cottage. Beth & Terry are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond when hosting guests in their cottages. There are so many places to see and visit on the Leelanau peninsula that are close to the property. We look forward to coming back year after year!

Summary: The property was amazing and so peaceful to walk around. The little extras on the property made it a place we will return on future trips up North. I would highly recommend this property for trips up to the Traverse City Area.

Summary: This is our 4th visit to the French Country cottage! We absolutely love the R&R each visit brings along with some adventuring along the way. This cute little cottage is BEAUTIFULLY appointed. We love evenings on the porch with the fire table listening to the woods around us. This trip we saw deer right off the driveway and the fall colors (though just past peak) were beautiful. We cannot recommend this place enough and will continue to savor our time here. Thank you Beth and Terry for being fabulous hosts!

Summary: I hesitate to tell you how truly wonderful this cabin is, but only because I selfishly want to keep it for myself! My husband & I have stayed at many places in the area and this is our very favorite. It is quiet, beautiful, immaculate and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring all the area has to offer. The hosts are helpful, friendly, and generous. We know this is a place we’ll return to as often as possible!

Summary: Very clean, well stocked, peaceful and decorated very cozy. They thought of everything and the welcome treats of wine and chocolate and salsa was a very nice surprise. Plus fresh farm eggs in the fridge, delicious! There were even cozy his and her bathrobes to use! We will stay here again. One suggestion would be a sound bar to go with the tv since the living room is large. We definitely recommend and the hosts were great.

Summary: This property was even better than promised. The cabin is spacious, clean and well appointed. The owners have thought of everything! Kitchen was the best stocked of any rental I have stayed at and the bed and linens were very nice and very comfortable. Location is super private - tucked back in the woods where you will only hear birds and only see wildlife. Owner was super responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back!
