RUTH'S PLACE is a cozy home private location but close to Acadia/Echo lake and Bar Harbor. Enjoy the winter here at a discount & hike across the street on Acadia mountain!
Bar Harbor is 11 miles, Southwest Harbor 4.4 miles, Cadillac Mountain is 14 miles and Bass Harbor head lighthouse is 8 miles. Close to ocean and hiking within a 1/2 mile. My home offers all the necessities for a perfect, relaxing Maine getaway and has a fully equipped kitchen (lobster pot and all!) to enjoy home cooked meals. Take dinner outside on the back deck and enjoy the cool, summer Maine nights. Enjoy the Firepit in backyard and watch the stars. The deer come to visit daily and many different kinds of birds. There is a short trail across the street to take a morning stroll. You can stay in touch with free WiFi /cable TV. ONLY DOGS ALLOWED!

Summary: The place was cute and had great access to the hiking trail across the street. Definitely try out that trail if you stay, a nice morning hike! The house was ok, it happened to be very hot this week and it would get very hot in there by the time we got back in the evenings. I would say a couple window fans would be nice to help out with that. All in all the property was well maintained and it was great to have a fenced portion of the yard for the dog!!

Summary: Great location, central to everything you would want to do at Acadia NP & Bar Harbor but in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. Really appreciated the fenced area of the yard for the dogs (although be aware it is not fully enclosed but we were able to block it off with chairs). Our group loved the fire-pit area as well, it is a really nice touch.

Summary: This is the perfect rental for Bar Harbor and Acadia. We had all the comforts of home to escape the hustle of Bar Harbor but close enough to it all so we didn’t spend the majority of our days in the car. We loved the bonfires we could have at night. Sleeping with the windows open for the cool Maine nights was perfect. This is a great home for young families. Thank you for the great week!
