1 Bedroom House in East Patchogue, Patchogue
Total relaxation in your own private suite including bedroom, living room and bath. Refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee and tea station. A charming bedroom with very comfortable queen size bed plus optional pull out sofa bed, fresh linens and towels, a living room with a 55" 4K TV with Netflix, Prime and Roku, a remote controlled gas fireplace, a private bathroom, all outdoor areas including a large deck, a hot tub, a fire pit patio, a tree covered hammock, and use of canoes and kayaks. Private entrance to living room, bedroom and private bath. Note: this is not a whole house... share the house with your very gracious hosts. There are four closed doors between the bedrooms so it is very private. Accommodations are ideal for a couple, but there is a pull out sofa to add one more adult (two if they are very close) or two kids. We limit the amount of people to two unless it is the same family with a maximum of 4.
There are 3 outdoor tables and you may eat in the living room. We provide plates, pots, pans, utensils and napkins. A small refrigerator is available for your storage needs as well as a microwave and toaster oven for heating. A coffee and tea bar is included. There are numerous places for takeout, curbside pickup or delivery and supermarkets are open. Please support our local businesses!
We request no smoking inside or on the deck, (flagstone patio or driveway is OK), no parties, no unpaid guests, no pets. Please keep the noise to a minimum. Do not hang out in the front of the house (respect our neighbors…..stay in the back yard or by the creek.
We love to meet people from all over the world! We enjoy conversation and getting to know you but also respect your privacy so if you want quiet time in your private suite or out on the hammock, you will have no interruption. Your hosts will be available on most days for any questions or advise or recommendations for things to do.
Shores Retreat is in a very quiet neighborhood on a dead end street with almost no traffic. It is adjacent to a woods with access to a creek for kayaking and canoeing. You and your party are exclusive guests. No other rooms are rented at the same time.
Shores Retreat is only a 7 minute drive from downtown Patchogue which has been transformed into one of the most desirable artist communities on Long Island. The Patchogue theatre features legendary performers while the numerous bars and restaurants will satisfy your nightlife cravings. Top restaurants include Hoshi for Japanese, El Fuego for Mexican, James Joyce for Irish food and Chachama for nouvelle cuisine. The ferry to Fire Island is minutes away. The quaint village of Bellport and the Gateway theater is minutes away to the east and the Hamptons and the wineries of the North Fork are just a half hour drive.
The closest Long Island Railroad train station on the Montauk to NYC line is Patchogue, a 7 minute drive. Trip to NYC is 1 hour 30 minutes. We are 1 hour and 15 minute from JFK airport. There are lots of Ubers and Lyfts available at a moments notice and there is local bus transportation 1/4 mile away and your hosts will offer private transportation when available and convenient.
