Summary: We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Quails Nest. Set in the idyllically rural countryside, we woke up to the view of the rolling hills everyday. The cottage is clean and modern, yet cute enough to be cosy with a log burner for chilly days. Rosie was so welcoming and accommodating and our 2 boys had a great time going to see her animals everyday (sorry, Rosie!) . We were able to access the local sights easily (Alnwick Castle, Alnmouth, Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, Lindisfarne) and a trip to Newcastle was only 45 mins away. It was lovely to come back to the peace and tranquility of Quails Nest. We’d really recommend it as a base from which to visit the area and we’re utterly grateful for Rosie in making our post COVID holiday so easy. Would love to return in the future.
