Petit Nivelle is a lovingly restored farm house situated in the middle of the vineyards of South West France. The house has been sympathetically restored to a high standard. The house consists of three double bedrooms, one with a super king size bed, en suite bathroom, walk in shower and WC, one with two single beds, en suite walk in shower and WC and the third bedroom has a king size bed with adjoining bathroom, walk in shower and WC. The beautiful open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen is spacious and opens out to a patio leading to an extensive garden. The kitchen is equipped with a range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and all cooking equipment making it a dream kitchen for anyone who enjoys cooking. Adjoining the kitchen is a laundry room with washing machine & tumble dryer. Patio furniture, sun loungers and barbecue are all available. One set of linen and towels per bedroom are provided.

Summary: The six of us had a wonderful stay at Petit Nivelle. The farmhouse was charming and inviting. We enjoyed cozy fires in the fireplace on chilly mornings and evenings. The kitchen is amazing, well-stocked with utensils and pots and pans. We visited all the surrounding markets, many beautiful and historical sites along the Dordogne, Saint-ร‰milion as well. Bob and Evelyn next door, could not have been more helpful, hospitable and pleasant - all are memories that will never be forgotten. Thank you for allowing us to share in your wonderful property.

Summary: I can honestly say that petit Nivelle is the most comfortable and well equipped Gite we have ever stayed in the views were stunning and location was superb!! Evelyn and Bob were charming and on hand to help with anything.The Gite itself was magnificent and comfortable we will definitely be coming back ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿท๐Ÿท Thanks again Phil,Tracy and Charli x

Summary: We spent a wonderful week at Petit Neville. The property is in a gorgeous setting, with beautifully maintained gardens and several lovely outdoor sitting and eating areasโ€™, including our favourite one located under a canopy of grape vines with views of the surrounding vineyards. We enjoyed afternoons cooling off by the pool and evenings cooking up local ingredients found while exploring the many nearby markets . It was a magical holiday and many thanks to Evelyn and Bob for sharing their local knowledge and making us feel so welcome!

Summary: We spent a great 2 weeks at Petite Nivelle, the house is very well equipped with everything you could need. Well situated for the Bordeaux wine region and for west Dordogne. Bob and Evelyn next door who look after the property were lovely and were there if we had any questions. I would highly recommend it, we have visited France many times, and stayed in various gites/houses, and this was the best.

Summary: Beautiful home set amongst the rolling vineyards near the Dordogne Valley. The home is well built with modern conveniences but true to its rural setting and origins. The home has a large modern kitchen area, seating areas, bedrooms and outdoor patios. The hosts were helpful and could not have been more accommodating - Evelyn also makes the most delicious shortbread cookies. The location is convenient to several picturesque villages and a short drive to larger centres. Perfect for couples or a family with ample space and privacy for all. We hope to return one day and enjoy a longer stay.

Summary: We visited France for my sister's wedding and Petit Nivelle was the perfect location. I must admit that it wasn't our first choice. We had stumbled upon another gรฎte in the area but the host cancelled on us with not a lot of time before the big day. I am so grateful that they did because Petit Nivelle was a little gem! Like many people have reviewed before us, the photos seriously don't do it justice. The house has three generously-sized bedrooms, two that are en-suite. We had a toddler and baby with us and had everything we needed to care for and entertain them! The living and kitchen area are very spacious and we'll kitted out with everything you might possibly need and if not, the hosts Bob & Evelyn were always on hand to help in any way possible. We didn't have eggs and milk when we arrived they kindly offered us what they had. Not only was the inside of the house a treat but the views outside the front of the house were a spectacular sight to see in the morning. Rolling hills and a distance vineyard, with the sun rising above it all. Round the back of the house, a small pool and BBQ. The area itself has a relaxed French country vibe with lots of little restaurants nearby. There are some supermarkets within 20mins of the property also. We visited a lovely lakeside beach on Bob & Evelyn's recommendation and had a lovely family day out there. You definitely need a car to get around here though! I could go on and on about what this house has to offer but this would be an essay. What a wonderful week!

Summary: All the other positive reviews are accurate. Our family of 3 generations had an enormously enjoyable ten days. The house is delightful and spacious. The outside space is great for relaxing or family fun and games whether in the pool or garden. There is plenty of space for grandparents to find a quiet corner for a snooze when needed! Bob and Evelyn are lovely but unobtrusive hosts. The boys ride on the mower was a highlight for them! It's very peaceful area but there are several small villages restaurants within reasonable driving distance.
