For those who love Door County and want to get away from the crowds --our nicely furnished and very private cottage is just off Hwy 42 in between the towns of Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. The cottage is located on the 10 acre Applewood Farm estate which is beautiful, private and serene. Feel free to bring your small family, including your pet (if well behaved) and enjoy the walking paths around the property. You will have the ultimate in privacy, relaxation and romance as you experience the natural beauty of the area. The cottage has nice furnishings including a NEW Verlo firm plush bed (2018). The cottage also has a bonfire pit, a front and side porch -- picnic table and lots of Adirondack chairs to enjoy the outdoors. Read a book on the porch, listen for the hummingbirds or search for shooting stars at night!
We have furnished and decorated the cottage with care so that you can enjoy a nice home away from home. We want you to love your stay! The cottage is perfect for couples, small families and/or families who want to bring their pets on vacation. The cottage is less than two miles from the public beach in Egg Harbor and four miles from Penninsula State Park in Fish Creek. Enjoy cherry picking across the street at Hyline orchards in July and apple picking from our trees right out the front door in October! Or, play a round of golf right down the street at The Orchards Golf Club!

Summary: The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-equiped. The property manager was meticulous in preparing for our arrival and sincerely cared about our experience. The flowers around the cottage were spectacular and our dog loved being leash free on the walking trails. All around a great stay!

Summary: We had such a fun week staying at this cottage in close to Egg Harbor. Sharon was such a great Host and made our stay so easy and accommodating. The location was great for biking, walking, shopping, dining, golfing and getting anywhere in Door County. Having our own kitchen for meals along with a charcoal BBQ grill was really nice. Very quiet with dark skies at night for excellent star gazing. We even saw a shooting star! A wonderful private escape in Door County! Thanks again Sharon for your wonderful hospitality!

Summary: Sharon was an amazing host. She had everything we could possibly need for our stay. If we happened to need anything she was willing to go out of her way to accommodate us. We appreciated the apple cider doughnuts that were waiting for us on arrival. Applewood cottage was in a perfect location. It was close to town but far enough from the main roads where we were able to have a quiet environment to relax and enjoy. The cottage was nice, cozy and very clean. We were able to enjoy the relaxation of a campfire every night. The dogs absolutely loved the large property where they could run and play and go for walks on the trail. We will definitely be back.
