Positive: The house has beautiful gardens & lots of art. I highly recommend arriving in daylight to appreciate the gardens ( sadly, I didn't, but Jenni kindly gave me a tour next day). The bed was very comfortable and the area quiet.
Negative: The room wasn't what I'd expected, as in the Booking.com app it says "This double room's special feature is the fireplace. This.. double room .. includes a flat screen TV...." There is a TV & a fireplace elsewhere in the house which I understand guests could use, but it sounded like these features were going to be in the bedroom, & I was a bit taken aback. Having said that, Jenni & Mervyn were very hospitable hosts & it was lovely to meet them.

Positive: Lovely, character-filled house and beautiful garden, conveniently situated for visiting Hamilton and surrounding regional Victoria. Mervyn and Jenni were friendly and accommodating hosts who made us feel very welcome. Delicious breakfast and a very comfortable room with plenty of privacy.
Negative: There was absolutely nothing we didn't like, it was a really top accommodation experience!
Summary: A very pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings, with two very fine people as hosts.

Positive: Only a 5 min drive into Hamilton but a quiet and charming rural location. Our room was clean and bed very comfortable, private bathroom facilities just down the hall. Our tour of the gardens, gallery and studios was a highlight. Jenni & Mervyn are most helpful and welcoming hosts, whilst providing private spaces for their guests. Both are artists and the surroundings reflect their artistic backgrounds. The continental breakfast including fresh fruit and homemade preserves was wonderful.
Negative: Nothing.
