Nestled in the foothills of the Kananaskis mountain range, this adorable cabin is perfect for the outdoors person who wants to be close to the hiking trails, horseback riding outfitters, water sports, winter activities and endless adventures. We have a spacious 80 acreage to explore on, foot, snowshoes, or cross-country skies. With plenty of activities within a short drive, you will never be lacking activities to keep you busy.
Please keep your adventures within the fence lines while enjoying the property, the lands around us are owned by other families, and we respect their privacy.
You can use this as your escape from the world and decompress from your busy life. With no phone, no cell service, no internet or TV, you can shut out the craziness of the outside world and spend some wonderful relaxation time. A great location for artists and writers who want to isolate and dive into their projects.

Summary: We had a great stay during the kids’ spring break. It snowed but was great weather and we enjoyed cross country skiing around the property and roasting hot dogs on the fire pit. The land and views are fabulous, and it was such a treat being able to stay out there, and being unplugged! Also the stars at night were amazing. Hope to be back again sometime!

Summary: First time ever that a listing is just like the pictures. However, the pictures don't do it justice. This place is breathatkingly amazing! We spent 5 nights and wished we stayed for the duration of our time in Canada. Fell in love and didn't want to leave. Trish and Greg, thank you again for an amazing experience our family will never forget. Hope to see you again soon.

Summary: Rustic, charming cabin located in the foothills. Very private, beautiful setting. The cabin was stocked with all that we needed. Very close to Sheep River and Bluerock Provincial Parks where there are numerous trails to explore.

Summary: Awesome spot, basically a large area all by ourselves. Close to trails in the Sheep River Provincial Park. We stayed for 2 nights, there was enough room for our family of 5. The cabin is stocked with everything needed. Spent most of the time on the porch and at the fire pit when we weren't at the provincial park. It was a great, peaceful and quiet spot. If we decide to hit that area again, we will like to stay at the cabin again!

Summary: What a perfect location to call home base while hiking all around the provincial parks just west of Turner Valley. (Buy your park passes online for easy access to all areas). The cabin is located on some rolling hills with incredible views just a three minute jaunt up the hillside. Perfect for a picnic and watching the sunset. The cabin is well set up with everything you’d need. No running water, but plenty of filtered water. Electricity allows for refrigeration/coffee maker/microwave. There are a herd of very friendly horses that don’t mind humans or dogs….they don’t spook when you walk by. They are absolutely beautiful to watch roaming. You just close the gate upon entering and leaving the property to keep them inside their acreage. We also saw plenty of deer and foxes as well. Great home base for exploring the Canadian wilderness! Thank you!

Summary: This was our second time visiting , had a great time once again ! The owners of the property were very receptive to feedback about a few minor repairs needed in the future . Nice and quiet , loves the off grid-ness and the horse visitors !

Summary: Great getaway close to Calgary! The cabin is quaint and comfortable on a beautiful property that is serene and quiet. Plus, the host is fabulous. I had to reschedule my stay due to unforeseen circumstances and they host were very accommodating. Highly recommended!
