8 mins drive from Picton clean tidy cosy bach close to boat ramp , lookout etc has own mooring to tie up to a 7mtr boat etc straight out front of bach own private beach etc just so relaxing an awesome can view the seals , fish an bird life from top deck etc seafood mussels n Kina , paua ,crayfish at door step straight of lower porch very scenic an watch the cruise ships n ferries cruise bye amazing sunsets also

Summary: The wow factor when you walk in.The steep steps a bit challenging for oldies, and parking was precarious.on the last morning we had no hot water until 10am as we were leaving it trickled back on.!!! we loved it .

Summary: The most amazing views and ocean life to watch. Just stunning. As in pictures this is an older house but so much space and privacy and the location makes up for any shortfalls.

Summary: This is the 2nd time staying at Al’s place and we absolutely love it. It’s a true kiwi style Bach, world away from the rest of Waikawa bay and only a minute further down the road. The large window makes you feel like you’re on a boat as you look out to sea, as the water literally comes right up to the house at full tide. Having the mooring available to use was great too, meant we were ready to go anytime there was a break in the weather. The space is very workable for groups as their are different areas that can be shut off and downstairs has outside access and it’s own bathroom. Can’t wait to come back!

Summary: You could not ask for a better location, we loved our stay. The only issue we had was cleanliness, this left a lot to be desired, not at all clean. It was hard to relax and not give the place a thorough spring clean, we advised the owner, and he was going to speak to the cleaner, so hopefully this is resolved for the next guests.

Summary: Such a gorgeous spot for our 7 night stay over Christmas. The kids had a ball swimming, playing on the kayaks, fishing off the deck and watching the stingrays. Easy mooring right out front for our boat to go and explore other parts of the sounds. Great communication from Al with all our questions! Thanks for sharing your little slice of paradise!

Summary: Great spot, Bach as advertised. Difficulty and confusion with the check-in process, and Bach could have been cleaner. Unable to use Kayaks which had no bungs, and could not find padlock key for boat until last day. Parking is limited. Still a fun place for a short stay.
