3 Bedroom Place in Keene Valley

Pine Brook Farm is a unique addition to the High Peaks rental market. This landmark property, nestled between Keene and Keene Valley, is the perfect place to enjoy your next Adirondack vacation. Pine Brook Farm is being lovingly restored to a working horse farm and animal rescue - come stay with us and share in our adventure!
A charming 1880s farmhouse is the centerpiece of this 40 acre farm. With a beautifully updated kitchen, recently reno'd bath, and stunning and spacious living and dining area, the farm is a perfect place for a romatic getaway or large family gathering.
Pine Brook Farm is a wonderful place to explore in all seasons. With 1200 ft of frontage on the East Branch of the Ausable River (with private swim hole!), acres of pastures and fields, and an abundance of woods and wetlands, the wildlife is plentiful and the views expansive.
Pine Brook Farm is a working farm, so there are animals (horses, pigs and dogs!) and their human caretakers working on the property. The house is very private with views of the horses and fields from the bedrooms and living areas.
Please DO NOT pet or feed the animals unless an owner is present. Horses are powerful, yet delicate, animals with big personalities! We're happy to introduce our guests to the animal residents in a way that is safe for everyone.
The property includes acres of fields and pastures perfect for walking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. A wrap-around porch, large backyard deck, serene pond, fire pit, and outdoor shower complete the outdoor living space. An enormous great room with original exposed posts and beams, smart TV, working fireplace, and stocked library ensure cozy indoor living. The kitchen is spacious and recently updated with top-of-the-line appliances. The bedrooms are outfitted with hotel-quality linens and memory foam mattresses.
The property is yours to enjoy, but do not enter the barns or fenced fields without an owner or caretaker present. Do NOT open any gates or other animal enclosures on the property. The attic, apartment, and back office are all private spaces.
Pine Brook Farm is a working horse farm and farm animal rescue. While the main house is yours to enjoy during your stay, the farm and property is enjoyed daily by the owners who care for the animals and the property. The farm is currently undergoing restoration. It's a beautiful, serene place for an Adirondack vacation, but not an isolated, 'middle of the woods' experience.

Summary: Idyllic is the word that is top of mind while reflecting on our stay. Location was perfect, house was charming and comfortable, surroundings were beautiful. Keene and Keene Valley have everything you need and tons of hiking close by! We have visited many places and this part of the world is at the top of our ‘favorites list’ for sure. Jessica made everything easy and uncomplicated. Enjoyed the animals and like to think our stay helps support her important work! Highly recommend and hope to be back someday!

Summary: The farm is just as idyllic as the photos show. Jess was a great host, and we loved being around the horses and the donkey. The location in Keene Valley was ideal for the things we wanted to do, such as visiting Lake Placid, Fort Ticonderoga, and Ausable Chasm. Some notes for anyone considering renting this property: - Be aware that you have to walk through the second bedroom (with two beds) to get to the third bedroom (with the double bed). - All three bedrooms are upstairs. If you are visiting in the summer, the bedrooms are likely going to be warm at night, so you may be sleeping with the windows open and box fans going. Just the way it is. - This is an old house with all the charm and all the quirks that entails. As long as you are cool with that, you will love your visit, and it will be much more memorable than staying in a newer cabin.

Summary: We loved everything about this house. The kitchen and large living room was perfect for our group. Their were views of the mountains and horses from every window. The trees, fields, flowers, birds, and chipmunks added an extra touch. The house was clean and everything we needed was provided. The location was absolutely perfect. Close to all the trail heads and a quick walk to Marcy field.
