Negative: Can't wait to see what the Placencia will be like once all of the construction/renovation is completed!

Negative: Restaurant prices are definitely not affordable for locals. Therefore, we had to source dinner and breakfast elsewhere. Actually thought it was intentional to discourage locals. If so it definitely works.

Positive: The entire staff was so friendly & helpful, especially our Shuttle Driver Ronald. The Pier Restaurant complete remodel was so very well done, with great food & very friendly service. Stunning Pool area. Phenomenal landscaping.
Negative: Television reception at night was horrible, as it would freeze permanently. We were only allowed (oddly) one washcloth to share each day. Pier Restaurant Prices were way too high. Shuttle to Placencia Village was only available at certain restrictive times.
Summary: Beautiful grounds & a wonderful experience.

Positive: The resort is beautiful, no denying that! Very clean and comfortable rooms (apart from the shower). They kindly provide drinking water, and tea and coffee making facilities. Food options decent, however better food in neighbouring resorts or in Placencia Village.
Negative: There are no local convenience stores. The closest place is Placencia village - you either take the hotel shuttle, which isn’t the most reliable, or need to call for a taxi. Taxis seemed quite sparse. It is a 25 minute drive to Placencia village. The telephone number for the hotel online doesn’t work - one evening the shuttle didn’t arrive to pick us up at the prior confirmed time, and we couldn’t get through to the hotel to ask for any help. There were a couple of times we were told there are not enough beach towels. Staff trying their best, but do need more training. The showers were very dated, and not comfortable to use.

Positive: The location is great, quiet and away from the party noise, great for families trying to spend a nice and calm time.
Negative: When passing time on the beach, you can't have your own cooler with any drink, the barman pushes you to take it back to the room, despite not necessarily having any beer or alcoholic drink, that was very upsetting and changed the mood for the family. The restaurant doesn't have an ample variety of lunch options, and is quite expensive for the serving.

Positive: Outdoors. Beautiful flora and fauna. Nice pool. Excellent fried jacks and hash browns.
Negative: No hangers in the room. Coffee maker with only one serving of coffee. For the price I expected I won't need to be calling for coffee and sugar. The young lady in the restaurant did know the difference between instant and perk coffee. Could not explain how dishes were prepared. Sorry I love coffee and food. No notices on emergency plan. Layout of facilities in the room. Nothing to read and the place itself.
