A historical lakefront Ontario resort and marina conveniently located on the south shore of Rice Lake. We offer several rental cottages in the Village of Gore's Landing. These Ontario rental cottages are just 15 minutes from Cobourg and Port Hope, only 30 minutes from Peterborough, and only 90 minutes east of Toronto. There are many amenities nearby.
We offer an affordable cottage rental destination for family vacations, fisherman's getaways or enjoyment of the abundant wildlife. Several of our rental cottages are over the water and none are more than 150 feet from the waterline.
Each cottage has a well-equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all the pots, pans and dishes you should need. We also have electric heating and full-sized gas barbeques (propane included) for each cottage and individual fire-pits.
For those of you who like to keep in touch, we have high-speed internet access with a terminal in the reception area. All cottages have TV's and DVD's with an extensive movie collection in the office at no extra cost.

Summary: Carla and Angus were great, very friendly and helpful. The Marina shop had movies and GameStop borrow(didn’t get a chance to grab any) and snacks and firewood, which was very convenient just a few steps away! The view of the lake and pier was fantastic from my cabin, and had everything I was expecting for a relaxing long weekend away. The cabin was a little snug in the bathroom and bedroom, but ultimately not a big factor during the stay(I didn’t come to spend time indoors!) It’s certainly more of a rustic getaway if that’s what you are looking for, which I looked forward to all summer, and would happily return again!

Summary: Great little cottages with fantastic lake access for swimming, fishing and boating. The owners, Carla and Angus, went above and beyond to check in often and make sure that we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommend :)
