Positive: Our family was pleased to stay at Sandy Shore Cottages over the Easter weekend. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with all necessary equipment and lots of kitchen utensils. The large panoramic windows overlooking Rice Lake offer stunning views of sunsets. The resort offers a variety of amenities including boat rentals/fishing, a swimming pool (open during summer), a small sandy beach, a sauna and more - so all family members could find their own entertainment opportunities. Big thanks to the hosts Evgeniy and Natalia for the warm welcome!
Summary: We truly enjoyed our stay by the lake - will come again!

Positive: It was nice to meet the owner and receive the keys directly. The owner was very friendly and gave us good fishing tips. The location was great and the pool was a nice treat.
Negative: Really the only thing that could have been a bit better were the beds. The beds my wife and I slept on were comfortable for the most part, but they shook pretty bad every time you moved.
Summary: Great stay. I hope to stay again next year.

Positive: Cottage was well equipped. I enjoyed the pool. They have a few fishing boats to rent out (need to have a boat license) - I'm inspired to get a boat and fishing license now to take advantage of those next time!
Negative: If you plan to bring a pet, contact the host/owner on booking.com first. It says pet friendly, however the host was surprised we brought our two dogs. Booking.com only states 'pet friendly, extra charges may apply' and doesn't have a check box for details on pets. We were okay with paying the extra charges for a pet friendly place - that's why we chose this place! Host accommodated us with a cottage - thankfully. Host was super nice throughout our stay!

Positive: Sandy Shores is a true hidden gem directly at Rice Lake. We were extremely lucky to stumble across it as we had a few days not planned yet in our holidays and a cottage just happened to be available. Evgeny and Natalia are such relaxed and warm hosts. The location and the cottage itself were well equipped, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset from the balcony. If we ever come back to this region of Canada again, we will certainly stay here again.
Negative: The only improvement I can think of is pillows that are a little bit softer.
