Summary: This is the best motel I have every stayed in. If you are traveling to the Eastern UP, this is the place to stay. I never give reviews, but the Plaza Motor Motel was an excellent value for the price. Clean, rooms are well maintained, updated often. I would stay here even if I was going to visit Mackinac Island. The 50 mile drive each way is worth it!!

Summary: This was our third stay at the Plaza. Despite being very convenient to the highway, it is very quiet—no road noise. The rooms are very nice and appear exceptionally clean. The innkeeper remains very pleasant, accommodating and helpful. It is convenient to the Locks and downtown. We will stay there again when we are in the area.

Summary: It’s a cozy place in a great location in Sault Ste Marie. The beds were surprisingly soft. The room was clean. No frills but great value.

Summary: Owner very nice at check in. Very clean and well maintained property. Very comfortable bed! The gardens and sitting areas looked beautiful but unfortunately it was freezing out so we didn’t get to enjoy it. We will stay there again if we are in the area!

Summary: We had a great stay at this motel. It was right off the highway but you wouldn't know it. It's quiet and very peaceful. Its not right next to the locks but we found it fairly easy to get into Sault Ste Marie from here. We were very impressed with the room we had reserved. It was right across from the main building. It even had its own reserved parking space.( great for when your getting back to you room later in the evening) Our room was very clean with comfortable bed, clean tiled bathroom, TV, fridge and a coffee maker.  The grounds were lovely with gardens everywhere. I also felt that the price charged for this room was very reasonable. The owner was pleasant and very helpful with some great advice. Just look at the reviews on trip advisor, that says it all. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area and we would highly recommend it to everyone,
