Beautifully restored German 1860s homestead nestled in the Texas Hill Country. Perfect for families - 3-house compound on 450 gorgeous acres. Owned and decorated by top San Antonio designer, this home has been published for it interior integrity and beauty. Poco A Poco has hosted many VIPs; a former Texas Governor, actors, San Antonio business tycoons and many admiring socialites. Luke Perry stayed here when he was filming 8 Seconds. A Blue Bell ice cream advertisement was filmed here. The main house has a full kitchen (incredibly well-stocked) with a cozy living room and fireplace, a wonderful spot for playing games, reading books or just visiting, a lovely dining room with seating for up to 8 people with attaching sitting area. There is a master bedroom and bathroom with tub. Upstairs is a kid room with 5 twin beds. There is a shared bathroom with shower and a lovely master with king. Adjacent to the main house is the blue room – it is a little house with 2 full beds and a bath with shower. There is another house we call the smokehouse (it was originally truly a smokehouse). It has a full kitchen, laundry room, master with a queen and bath with vanity, tub/shower. There is a crib in this house and a sofa in this house that would be perfect for a child. We have a lovely pool, playground, bikes. We are minutes to upscale grocery store, shopping, Boerne/Bulverde restaurants and antique stores. 25 minutes to San Antonio. We are 3 miles to Guadalupe State Park. Also a few miles to Anhalt, a dancehall first established in 1887.

Summary: This was our family’s third time gathering at the Poco a Poco Ranch. Lovely as always with a few great upgrades in the game room. It’s a beautiful home/property and has everything you can imagine for all ages to enjoy a fun and comfortable Thanksgiving together.

Summary: Poco a Poco is a magical place!! Each of the houses are beautifully decorated and unique! The grounds are quintessential Texas Hill Country!! The only problem we had was that no one wanted to leave!!

Summary: We loved our stay at the ranch and plan to return. It's a perfect set up for a multi-generational vacation and such a unique property - tons to do, very well stocked, plenty of space to spread out, and plenty of places to gather together. Photos give a clear indication of the layout and we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the family time.

Summary: The historical feel and rustic touches are beautiful and well placed. The best of both worlds country living with modern amenities. We enjoyed the beautiful property. The animals, pool, reliable wifi and gameroom were enjoyed by all the teenagers and teenagers at heart. We all enjoyed the beautiful pool and outdoor lounging areas. Our family was able to cook incredible meals and enjoy nice evenings in the outdoor space. So much to see and areas to explore on the inside and out. All of the incredibly curated antiques were such a beautiful treasure hunt all over the property. We will be back for sure.

Summary: We absolutely love staying at the Poco A Poco- we loved it so much we’ve now stayed there twice for two large group gatherings. It’s truly the most perfect beautiful home filled with everything you need. I feel like I’m living in a movie set. The staff is very hospitable and easy to communicate, if there is an issue they fix it quickly and the location is not too far from San Antonio and only 20 minutes from Boerne. I hope to come back again with our family soon! The Poco A Poco feels like a home away from home!
