Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this new, beautifully furnished, 2 bedroom/1 bath carriage house. It is in a very private location, nestled among towering Douglas Fir trees, with a glimpse of the ocean, yet just 5 minutes to downtown Comox and 5 minutes to the airport. It has its own private gated entrance, gardens, car port and plenty of parking for a boat or RV.
The main bedroom has a king-sized bed, while the 2nd bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed, comfortable for a family of 4 or two couples. There is also a pull-out queen size sofa bed in the living room, if your teenage kids don't like to share! The spacious, open concept living room and kitchen are bright and inviting for leisurely breakfasts and relaxing evenings. Connect to your Netflix account through the TV and enjoy movies after a busy day exploring the valley. The kitchen is perfect for dining as it is equipped with everything you will need for making a delicious meal. There is also a BBQ on the deck for your use. Situated just a 5 minute walk from the beach at Point Holmes, where you will find a walkway and boat launch (ideal for launching a kayak, paddle board, canoe or small boat). Or just a few minutes drive away is Kye Bay where you can walk on miles of sandy beach. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding or fishing and later watch the sunset from the deck of the carriage house enjoying a refreshing drink. Or gather round the fire pit and watch the stars come out. In the winter months, Point Holmes is very popular for storm watching.
Spend the day away, enjoying all the valley has to offer - golfing, mountain biking, hiking and skiing (Mt. Washington is a hidden gem just 45 minutes away!) or just exploring downtown Comox and Courtenay (great shopping!). For a girls trip, the beautiful Kingfisher Spa is just 20 km away. The Hydropath service is a local favourite. Or make us your home base and explore the island to the north - Port Hardy, the west - Tofino and the south - Victoria. All about a 3 hour drive in each direction.

Summary: This was our second time staying here, and just as nice as the first visit. Quiet location, close to town, comfortable, clean and modern.

Summary: Modern, sparkling clean and new, all the comforts, including a propane fire-pit on the covered deck. Very well-appointed kitchen. Loved that all the windows looked out on beautiful sunlit trees and gardens. Very private neighborhood. Anyone with mobility challenges, note that you do need to go up a flight of stairs to the entrance. Also, you can occasionally hear jet engines, as this location is close the small Comox Airport. However we weren't bothered by either.

Summary: The Carriage House was perfect for our one week stay. Tastefully decorated, modern and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with ample dishes and cookware. The outdoor patio was peaceful and relaxing after a long day. We even spotted a couple of fawn while looking out from the deck. The landscaping is immaculate. The location was great as it served as our home base for short day trips to Campbell River, Qualicum Beach, Saratoga Beach and Cumberland as well as a longer trip to Tofino. Lydia was quick to respond to our messages and provided recommendations for the area. Thanks for the welcome bottle of wine too!

Summary: This is an amazing "get away from home" (beautiful interior and setting in a natural treed environment). Wonderfully appointed with high end amenities; owners of the property are very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this place.

Summary: Lydia was a superb host and owner. The property was immaculate. The area was excellent and so tranquil. Everything you need was available. (we even got a bottle of wine.) I would certainly want to come back and stay here again.

Summary: We had an outstanding stay- and I mean this, I would love to live here. 10 mins from the coast, but away from it all. It’s a quick drive to Comox/Courtney but totally quiet and peaceful. Nestled in the trees we saw several eagles flying though the property and lots of other wildlife. It’s a beautiful suite and immaculately clean. We stayed as a couple, but it would be excellent for two couples or a family. It’s so nice I felt bad leaving to see the rest of the island. There is a terrific outdoor space where we spent most of our time, covered but so cozy. It’s a thoughtfully designed location. If I were staying again, we’d definitely prepare meals here. Our host Lydia couldn’t have been more helpful, and the “user manual” was full of helpful guides for first time visitors. This is the nicest place I’ve ever stayed ever!
