Welcome to Point Pleasant Bunkie. Charming water front Bunkie on a private road 30 kilometers east of Picton in Cressy, North Marysburgh. Our home and property is located on the Upper Gap between Adolphus Reach and Lake Ontario. The property is surrounded by farm land, sits on 2 acres and boasts 270 feet of accessible waterfront. The Bunkie is approximately 150 feet from the main house and has it's own deck and side yard. The location offers fabulous sunrises and sunsets.
There are many attractions close by including Lake on the Mountain Resort, the Waupoos Pub, Waupoos Winery and Fifth Town Cheese Factory. Sandbanks beach is a 40 minute scenic drive, with many attractions along the route. Beach Pass is included, which provides unlimited daytime access for one vehicle.
We have installed a lovely railing around the deck. Pictures will follow in the Spring when I can take pictures from the water.
Picton offers a variety of grocery stores, LCBO, theatre, wonderful restaurants and shopping. Stores and services are a 30 minute drive so it is best that you arrive with your provisions.
Public Boat Launch a 10 minute drive.
This quaint Bunkie is approximately 300 square feet and is ideal for 2 people. The Bunkie has a dining table and three chairs a Queen size bed and kitchenette all in one room. The kitchen includes a toaster oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, bar fridge and bar freezer as well all utensils and dining plates and glasses, mugs etc. There is also a BBQ with a side burner for your use.
The Bunkie has a very nice three piece washroom.
There is a flat screen TV, no satellite or cable (antenna reception offers a few channels) and a DVD player. Free Wi Fi. While our WiFi is good it is not as fast as City standards. If you are planning on working while at the Bunkie I would recommend you download big files/documents prior to arriving, also if you are into a Netflix series you might want to download before you come.
Bedding, pillows, bath towels and dish towels are not provided due to Covid.
However, toilet paper, paper towels, salt and pepper, dish detergent, garbage bags and propane will be.
Please bring your own beach towels and beach chairs. Good swimming on our shore. Rock beach. Bring your water shoes. Swim at own risk.
Check in 4:00 pm check out 11 am. No check in after 8 pm.
Please note that VRBO is an American site and quotes in CA $. We charge $175.00 per night. Please note a 4% accommodation fee will be charged that I need to submit to the Municipality. I will ask you to pay this to me upon arrival.
Minimum night stay: 3 nights.
Fire pit - we supply the wood.
Please leave the Bunkie clean (as it is when you arrive) otherwise a $100.00 cleaning fee will apply. This includes dishes washed and put away and garbage and recycling deposited where indicated when you arrive.

Summary: Siobhan, Dave and Dolly are lovely hosts. The Bunkie is fun, great location, great view, very well equipped. Another guest mentioned the road, it was fixed during my stay, all good. Pro tip: The public boat launch 1.5 km away is a great spot to watch the sunset. Pryners Point (?)

Summary: Set between the blue lake and green fields; a very quiet location to hang out all day with endless views across Lake Ontario; and a good base to use to explore the eastern end of The County. Staying at the height of summer, there were a lot of gnats who wanted to be close friends, but otherwise it was a really lovely spot, and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

Summary: The bunkie is a cute little cabin with everything we needed for a week of relaxation. It feels very secluded and private. Sitting on the deck having a morning coffee or evening drink, listening to the waves lapping on the shoreline and watching nature was a highlight for us, as well as strolls along the private road in the countryside. Siobhan and Dave were very friendly and hospitable. The road in is a little rough in spots, but it was ok for us in a pickup truck, and perhaps we came just before it got graded? We would recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and be right by the water.

Summary: A beautiful location right on the lake. The water was a bit to cold for us to swim in but that was just because we hit a bit of a cold spell in mid July. The closest town is Picton which is about a 30 minute drive. So I would suggest stocking up on the provisions you will need unless you don't mind driving to town every other day. Our hosts were very nice people and attentive to our needs. A stay at the bunkie is recommend to anyone looking for a beatiful view of the lake and a very peaceful getaway.

Summary: Lovely stay, very clean and well equipped cottage. Siobhan Dolly and Dave made me feel welcome. Fantastic view, 10 steps to the water, though beach is rocky... Sandbanks is the spot for a beach day. Spent lots of time on the deck, reading watching clouds, relaxing. Truly a great spot for R&R, contemplating life, the universe and everything. Closest town (Picton) is 30 minutes so plan to stock the fridge and freezer or enjoy outings to Picton, Bloomfield and wineries/cider houses/cheese makers. Enjoy!

Summary: Simply put- paradise. Such a lovely & clean bunkie by the water with all necessary amenities included. Perfect place to watch the sun rise, listen to the waves crash on the shore, go paddleboarding and watch the boats go by while reading a good book. If you want to relax & unwind this is the place to stay! Siobhan & Dave were great hosts who made sure everything was perfect! Can’t wait to go back!!
