Poppy's Barn is a charming renovated barn perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape to North Devon. The 1 bedroom modern barn conversion has been finished to a high standard making it the perfect base to take in the beautiful scenery surrounding the cottage.
The spacious first floor on Poppy’s Barn has a modern kitchen with ample space, well equipped with an electric oven with hob, a fridge, a dishwasher and a washing machine. In the middle of the room in front of the stairs you can sit at the table and enjoy your home cooked meals as the light floods the room from the stunning bay window. The comfortable living area has a 2 seater sofa facing the wall mounted TV, the Velux windows to the front of the property open up enabling guests to look out across the countryside from your private fold out balcony.
The ground floor bedroom is spacious and contemporary with a large double bed which can be made into single bedrooms upon requests. Two bedside tables either side of the bed hold lamps on top and drawers for additional storage. The bedroom also has a built-in wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a wall-mounted TV. The en-suite bathroom, accessible from the sliding doors, has a walk in shower, w/c and wash basin.
To the rear of the cottage is a paved patio area that is fully fenced to give it a feel of privacy. On the patio is a dining table and two chairs, as well as a charcoal BBQ. Guests have access to the whole of Poppys Barn. Shared facilities include parking, 3.5 acres of grounds, play area consisting of: outdoor table tennis, children’s play area, swing balls, football pitch.

Summary: We stayed at Poppy's Barn. The cottage is lovely and the interior feels very high-quality. It had everything we needed (washing machine, pans, cafetiere, etc.). We went in November, so lots of stormy weather but the cottage was warm and cosy. You'll need a car, but if you have one there are lovely walks and beaches only 15mins away.

Summary: This was our first stay in Poppys Barn and it won't be the last! Tina & Marc were lovely and made us feel extremely welcome but at the same time gave us 100% privacy. The barn was exceptional... beautifully clean which is always our first priority, newly renovated so everything was like new. It's an upside down design so the lounge overlooks the trees and courtyard and the special dorma opening windows were a delight !!! The bed is AMAZING!! and huge!! We slept soundly which is always nice. The bathroom had everything you needed and was very spacious ( had underfloor heating too ) Little extras that were nice ... Smart tvs in the lounge and bedroom, Tina left us a cream tea, milk, tea, coffee etc ( Thankyou Tina ) The barn had a great parking space which is always a bonus in Ilfracombe. There was a lovely outdoor space with a bbq which would be great in warmer weather. We'll definitely be returning as soon as we can!

Summary: A lovely little cottage in a pretty setting. Modern, clean and comfortable. Well equipped with thoughtful touches. Cottage is only a few minutes drive from both Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. A great base for a couple’s relaxed seaside break.
