Facilities
Guests at the Sunrise Retreat stay in a beautiful, private, fully self-contained, air conditioned Guest House, surrounded by tropical forest to complement the natural bush land setting and taking advantage of the seclusion of the property.
Guest House 1 caters for 2-3 guests, with a queen size bed in the open upstairs bedroom and a single bed in the downstairs living room area, fully self contained kitchen, TV/DVD, bluetooth speaker, air conditioning, wireless internet, laundry facilities, en-suite bathroom with large shower, tropical garden and your own private veranda with a 2 person spa and ocean views. Pets are allowed outside only and a dog bed is provided.
Soft cotton towels and locally made natural soaps are provided and the pantry is equipped with seasonings, spices and oils and the basis of necessity for any chef (or cook!).
Other features include a large entertaining area with BBQ and a beautiful wet edge pool with sun deck on the main house level. On arrival at the Sunrise Retreat, guests are welcomed with a tropical fruit platter and fresh cut flowers.

This 1 Bedroom House provides accommodation with Air Conditioner, Pool, TV, for your convenience. This House features many amenities for guests who want to stay for a few days, a weekend or probably a longer vacation with family, friends or group. Summary: We loved our time here and would have happily stayed longer. Easy drive to local attractions and the location is lovely and quiet. Gorgeous property and pool, and Sugar the dog was a waggy-tailed bonus.

Summary: Lovely property very close to all amenities but peaceful and secluded . Set among trees just behind the owners house . Comfortable furnishings and all catered for . A sweet puppy that greeted us and to play with as well ! Uli was charming and very friendly . If we had 1 small criticism it would be that the property was a little dark and had to have light on when we were inside .

Summary: Out of town and steep driveway but worth the peace and quiet. Easy to access Mossmand and Port Douglas by car.

Summary: We had a very nice 11 days here. Although there is a larger house above and a couple of other holiday properties nearby, we were undisturbed and comfortable throughout. At night, the area was silent apart from the sounds of geckos and insects and it was very dark despite the large window at the front having no blind or curtain. The area is close to Port Douglas and convenient for going north to the Daintree or south towards Cairns.

Summary: Rob and Uli are very friendly and hospitable hosts. The accommodation is lovely, in a serene and private setting. And I particularly loved the outdoor spa! All in all a wonderful place to holiday.

Summary: We stayed at the property for a week in late June. If you are looking for a rainforest experience, thus is the place to be. It is rural enough to experience nature at its best, but local enough that you can enjoy a dinner in port douglas in a matter of minutes. The hosts are great and can provide advice on both the tourist and local spots. I highly recommend the spot and would stay there again in a heart beat.

Summary: This is a very comfortable place with the best owners. We were able to stay with our two dogs and it was so peaceful. There was a beautiful platter of fruit waiting for us in the fridge, plus fresh flowers! So lovely. Thank you Uli and Rob for letting us stay in your beautiful guest house.

Summary: Really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this place. Situated in the mowbray valley it is away from the crowds of the port Douglas hotel strip. Plenty of space here inside and out with lovely hosts.
