Positive: The room was big enough for two, the bathroom was decent and had a good shower, the kitchen was well equipped and we received coffee in the morning.
Negative: The room was not cleaned and we did not revceive any new towels during our 3 night stay. Some of the lights, including the emergency light, didn't work.

Positive: We would definitely recommend staying here for anyone who wants to experience true Cretan hospitality and culture. The village is small but has everything you need. We spent our time here playing at the beach and enjoying delicious food at one of the tavernas. Everyone in the village is friendly and greets you with a smile. It was amazing to return to our room at the end of the day and see the moon shining bright above the sea. You can also see a sky full of stars at night - something you won’t see in a big city. Each morning the sun shines right into the room and you can hear the church bells from down the hill. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind. :-) They were very sweet with our son (a wild 1-year-old) and brought us cookies, coffee, water, juice, toys, and gave us some fruit for our drive. They also provided a crib (pack n play with a door on the side that unzips) and our son had fun playing in it. On our last night, one of our friends was having some car trouble and Yorgos came to help us. We stayed here for 5 nights and had everything we needed. Thank you Fotini & Yorgos!!

Positive: The location was beautiful - you can see the mountain, sea and the stars all at once. The beach and taverns are very accessible (~ 7 min walk). The hosts are super kind - they gave us coffee and snacks every morning which we was a pleasant surprise. The property is located uphill (80m, about 130 steps) so if you you aren't using a car, expect some good (albeit brief) leg workout ;)
Negative: The shower area could have been slightly more spacious.
Summary: Great location with quick access to the beach and taverns, and amazing hosts.

Positive: It was a wonderful stay ! Nice blue sea, mountains and olive trees around. Large, clean and good equipped room, private kitchen for cooking. Air conditioning. Terrace with nice view to the sea. The owners of Porto Kastri Studios are very friendly. Fine location - near the sea, only 3 mins walking. Many taverns, offering nice greek cuisine. We are very grateful to Dymitrios for his taverna with wonderful music, located nearest to the hotel.
Negative: Everything was fine !

Positive: Quite cozy, simple and comfy room. Not much luxury, but wasn't a necessity in the first place. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nice view and spacious parking area.
Negative: The only negative is that the road leading up to the room has a very steep slope, so it might be a challenge for a heavy loaded car to climb. Thankfully we didn't face an issue there, and our car was able to climb it. Just needs a bit attention there.

Positive: everything went great, the hosts Feya and Georgos are very hospitable, the room has everything for a long stay. the pastel accessories are very bright and clean. excellent location, everything is nearby. There is a tavern on the lower right, the owner is Dimitris, everything is very tasty. Thanks for everything, I hope we'll come back.
