Positive: The host and housekeeper were very welcoming in showing us the house and explaining the area. The rooms were very spacious, and it was a very easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and supermarket. Don't need a car!
Negative: Coffee was not provided but there was a small supermarket a short walk away to buy grounds for the french press.

Positive: The apartment was furnished to a fantastic level, and couldn't have asked for anything else. The resort has everything you could want, including some great pools, and restaurants. The town of Alvor itself, is quiet, but has every type of food and drink you could want. We would recommend this property and location to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

Positive: Lots of space, very comfy beds, fantastic beach, and access to some great restaurants. Off-season so none of the facilities were open, but still a great place for a midwinter break.
Negative: Small things! Would love paper towels or napkins, an extra towel to dry dishes, salt, pepper, and sugar.

Positive: Lovely apartment with south facing balcony. Very well equipped and comfortable with great beds. Near to boardwalk and beaches.
Negative: The actual position of the apartment was at the very back of the development and next to the road. The beachfront description is a bit of a stretch, although it is only a 5 mins walk to the front of the devoplent. The Prainha village itself is quite scruffy and none of the facilities were open in November.

Positive: Having last visited the Prainha Clube complex 7 years ago, we were slightly anxious about going again in case it didn't live up to our memories. However, we had nothing to worry about and we loved everything about being back in Alvor and Duarte's apartment! The apartment was easy to find, and Ester was there waiting to greet us, despite our arrival being after midnight. Having the private underground parking space was a real bonus, and everything about getting to and into the apartment was so simple and well communicated. The apartment is a brilliant size for a family of 3 or 4, and could even host a larger group with the sofa bed in the living room. There is a huge living, kitchen and dining area along with a really good sized balcony which gets sun for most of the day. Both pools on site were still open despite it being very near the end of the season, and we used the Atlantic Pool every day and only ever saw 1 or 2 other families there - it was like having our own private pool! We were very fortunate to have good weather every day bar one, but even without this, we would have been able to make the most of the spacious apartment without feeling cramped. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds and the drawers/wardrobes were more than big enough for us. Both showers are lovely and getting hot water for 3 people showering in quick succession was never an issue. Towels were provided and there is a washing machine if needed as well as a dishwasher and huge American style fridge-freezer: everything you need to feel totally at home whilst on holiday. Having the en-suite bathroom and a full family bathroom was also great! You can walk in to Alvor either along the beautiful beach boardwalk or by road and be in the town in under half an hour and we really enjoyed walking there and/or back every day - every restaurant we ate at had great food, all at very good prices.
Negative: The only thing we would have changed would be having to pay for sun loungers/umbrellas on the complex - this is nothing to do with our host or the accommodation though! Just a note to anyone else visiting - you can use the Atlantic Pool which is nearer to the cliffs and has stunning views, but it is pricey if you want a lounger and/or some shade.
