If you hire this exceptional apartment, they will live like a local in the heart of Munich in the Maxvorstadt, the museum and the university district. The famous Louis and Leopold Street, the famous English Garden, the residence as well as the art galleries are nearby. Numerous shops, restaurants and bars as well as the subway (stop 'university'), Tram ('picture galleries') are 'around the corner'. Maxvorstadt / Schwabing is the district by the 'Blue Rider' by Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc founded and its museums are still regarded as the art district in Munich.
Equipped with modern and timeless design classics apartment is very quiet despite its central location between the 1st and second Backyard. The balcony with table and 4 chairs is south facing and therefore very bright and sunny. The entire apartment is very bright with large windows, it is very well maintained.
The bright bedroom with large teak double bed (Ethnicraft 180 x 200 cm) has a large closet. The large and bright living room with leather sofa bed (Intro by Franz finished, 1.50 x 2.10 m) has 2 more people, cable TV, DVD player and stereo system also has a dining area (Charles and Ray Eames chairs) with space for 6 people (2 extra chairs are provided, or are to be taken from the balcony). 2 more people can access a Lufmatratze (1.50 x 2.00 m) sleep, so that 6 people can stay.
Towels and sheets are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped (including dishwasher, microwave and possibility for making tea and coffee and a WMF 10 espresso machine for the automatic preparation of latte, cappuccino, espresso, etc.).
The bathroom, near a bathtub, a washing machine and of course, a hair dryer. In the basement there is a laundry with dryer.
Fast Wireless Internet (6 Mbits) is included.

Summary: Very nice apartment in the university area within walking distance of all Munich has to offer. We visited museums and local restaurants very easily. A safe area with lots of activity and our teen son was able to walk a short distance for a pickup game of basketball at the nearby park. As Americans, the appliances are a bit different and required some assistance from Google, but we managed well. Host was responsive and helpful, and patient with first-time visitors to Munich.

Summary: Christoph’s apartment was in a courtyard of apartment nicely located near university, English Garden and museums. It was nice and quiet as it did not face the street. It also had windows on both front and back sides so it cooled down nicely during summer evening. There were lots of cafes and restaurants close by and a tram stop was just around the corner. The kitchen was well equipped. The fast cordless phone chargers were an unexpected plus. We had a great stay.

Summary: The apartment is convenient to exploring Munich by foot. It had many amenities even with its compact size and Christoph provided shower gel, laundry soap, coffee & tea, and spices. Christoph was quick to respond to queries about the apartment. The neighborhood is very vibrant with many interesting restaurants & cafes, as well as close by grocery stores. The apartment was a little cozy for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens, and a 10 year old). If you have mobility issues, be aware that the combo bathtub/shower has a high step into it and the courtyard of the apartment complex is cobblestone.
