Summary: We loved the cute house, superwell-equipped Kirchen, quiet good sleeping, nice garden and spectacular view! We could help harvesting the olives and were invited to try the selfmade wine! Very friendly, quick communication with the owners. We would like to come back in a season with less mosquitos. Thanks a lot, greetings from Berlin!

Summary: We recently returned from our stay in Abruzzo. The villa had everything we required but the most memorable thing is the stunning views. We arrived late on a Monday evening after along journey from Switzerland, very tired and hot. However, when we woke the next morning to see the beautiful 360° View of the undulating Abruzzo hills with the dramatic backdrop of the Apennine mountains, we were simply amazed. We loved our week and villa owner, Julie was very communicative and helpful. The villa’s own pressed olive oil and Multipulciano wine, which was left for us on arrival was lovely; we used the olive oil in every meal we made, save breakfast. The week went very quickly and we were sad to leave. We will definable be returning and are already looking at a future holiday in Abruzzo in the villa. I highly recommend staying in this lovely haven of tranquility. Thank you Julie.

Summary: The views are beautiful. We stayed in Elice to visit the surrounding areas. We were able to visit a winery, olive oil farm and many towns nearby. We loved the restaurant nearby, Da Margherita in Citta Sant'Angelo. We traveled to Ceppagati, Pianella, Penne, Loreto Aprutino and Atri. There's a caffe down the road and a wonderful pastry shop too. We enjoyed our time in Elice and the surrounding comunes.

Summary: The property just outside the village of Elice is in an excellent location with beautiful views to the local hill towns and Appenines. Easy to to relax an unwind in such a beautiful location. The Adriatic is only 30 minutes away and visits to hill towns are easy and straight forward. There are also some very good restaurants in the area. The house has all that you need and is well equipped.

Summary: Spent 7 nights at this well-equipped villa in a superb location offering breathtaking views over the valley. Plenty of places to visit nearby, walking routes and easy access to a lovely beaches. Much time was spent just enjoying the view and watching the locals going about their daily routines from a distance in this very secluded spot. The fruit trees and vines in the grounds were delightful and a good choice of places to sit or dine alfresco. We loved it and would thoroughly recommend it!

Summary: We arrived at night after a short drive from the airport so didn't fully appreciate the views until we awoke the next morning. We were greeted by the most amazing picture of the fields of olive trees, grape vines and the gran sasso mountains. We found the Villa to be well equipped with a modern kitchen and coffee making facilities. We enjoyed a coffee and freshly picked grapes, pears and figs from the sun terrace for breakfast which was a real treat and we took in the stunning scenery. The bed was comfy, so comfy we struggled to get out of it and the shower was piping hot and had a decent amount of power. We found the plastic plates etc and the cool box, sunshades and chairs invaluable to take our picnic to the beach which was a short drive away. There are some lovely local shops selling fresh fruits and vegetables. We bought some great meat and wine and had a barbeque in the garden one night. There was some very tasty olive oil provided which we took advantage of and understand the olives were grown at the Villa. Also useful to note is that Wifi is available and worked in the garden so enabled us to sit in the sun and surf the net. Although you do need a car to get around we did go for a walk and find a good bar to rest at. The local restaurant Agriturismo was fantastic we paid €25 for a feast that we couldn't finish but were given the remainder to take out and eat the following day. We would fully recommend this beautiful, well equipped Villa to stay and experience the flavour of Italy.

Summary: We spent 5 nights at this fabulous villa. Perfect location to explore the region. Spacious with all the amenities you would need. Welcome package and Wifi were a bonus too. The locals were extremely friendly and accommodating. The best part were the views and sunsets from the gardens. Will definitely return. Absolutely recommend!

Summary: This is a fantastic house. There were only 2 downsides: the only stairs are on the outside of the house, and you have to go through the kitchenette room upstairs to get to the other 2 bedrooms. Had we known we may not have booked, and would have deprived ourselves of one of the most relaxing and tranquil holidays we've ever had. After 9 years of visiting Italy, we thought we were settled and happy in Umbria. Then we visited Abruzzo, and now have to re-think the whole thing! We've never been anywhere before where you can sit outside, mid-week, mid-afternoon, obligatory glass of wine in hand, in absolute - total - silence. No wind, no dogs (No, really! Well ok, not all the time) and see for miles and miles with no movement and swear you were the only people in the country! The house is a great base for visiting the area, and Julia and David have made this a welcoming and relaxing facility. The local people are friendly, local roads are largely empty and interesting! You are not far from Pescara and the A14 Autostrada at Citta St Angello. Pescara Nord shopping center is just a minute away from the toll booths. Within an hour or so on the A14 you can get to Ortona - we fell in love with the place, as well as Chieti; a bit further afield and places such as lago di Scallo and Roccascalegna are easily reachable but the roads to it are not for the faint of heart. The wonderful sandy and family-friendly beaches at Montesilvano are not too far away either, and with the provision of 2 beach parasols at the house, we were well set up for a day or two by the sea, with free parking right by the beach. There are many recommendations in the house for places to go and eat, most at a very affordable price. If you go to the local Agriturismo be prepared for a very warm welcome and a huge meal and great value! Also il Gallo is great. Very relaxed, beautiful hotel, and exceptional value. And very friendly owners. The Pizzaria la Mugnaia was nice. Family-run, very busy but lots of space, very friendly, good food, good value. There is a bit of light pollution at night but the Milky Way is clearly visible and I got some good photographs. The house is very well equipped - it has insect nets at all the windows so bugs are very effectively kept at bay, and fans in all the rooms - very necessary in the summer. Lots of space outside - we ate outside a lot. So it is with great pleasure that we highly recommend this house for family holidays.

Summary: I would definitely stay at La Collina again as it is in such a beautiful and tranquil location. We spent a lot of time in the garden as it was so lovely to be able to sunbathe there and eat meals looking at the amazing view. The kitchen was well equipped which was lovely as part of the holiday for us is cooking with the beautiful Italian food. The bed was very comfortable and the house was cool and spacious . It was also good to have WiFi, even in the garden, which meant we could research places in the area. All the information provided was excellent too. We ate at the restaurant in Casabianca where the arrosticini was delicious. We also ate at Terre e Sapori where the anti pasto della casa was amazing and at Il Gallo where the owners were so friendly and welcoming. The food was good there too, proper rustic Italian food. The countryside is beautiful and unspoilt by tourism so you feel you are visiting the real Italy. We have been to the area before and will return again in the future as we always have such wonderful holidays in Abruzzo. I would highly recommend La Collina for the perfect Italian holiday.

Summary: The point in this house are the views from the yard and the surrounding countryside. The location is really peaceful, but rural so a car is quite necessary. Of course having a car available allows one to drive around Abruzzo, the small hill towns are good places to visit and a drive to the mountains is also an experience. The house itself is in good condition and e.g. the kitchen is well supplied with the necessary items to make your own meals. Maybe the toaster could be fixed... Plenty of room for two persons, having a lounge and kitchen downstairs (with outside stairs to the upper floor) and upstairs two bedrooms and a lounge and with two bathrooms. During our stay the the temperature was often over 30 degrees, the highest we hit was 36 in the shade. So the fans supplied were really useful in the bedroom to get air circulation. Downstairs was a little bit cooler in the heat than the upstairs rooms, but we spent most of our time in the yard. During the day it was possible to either select a location to sit in the shade or doing some sunning.
