THE PROPERTY
In true Cruzan style, the open-air design of the home provides its guest a feeling of freedom, it simply takes your breathe away as you become absorbed by the tranquillity of the turquoise sea. As guests settle into the 3 bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, one begins to experience the relaxing environment the living quarters offer.

The caretaker Kiki lives on property in a separate but attached living space and guests share a parking lot and driveway with the caretaker. Two very friendly house dogs Bodhi and Cane also live on property as the villa greeters and security detail.

Summary: One word sums up this house-AMAZING! My family of 5 traveled to St Croix for our winter break. We have stayed in 2 homes on St John and 1 on Vieques in past years, but we enjoyed this home and this island the most. First, the location is perfect. It is pretty much on the top of a mountain. The views over the north shore were gorgeous. The breezes were wonderful. We always rent houses with air conditioning because we like our cool nights. With this house though, we kept the windows opened and never felt the need to use the A/C. The outdoor living area was the most beautiful setting one could ever hope for. It was very comfortable and spacious and right next to the lovely pool. Honestly, I could see just hanging out at the house all day. However, St Croix has a lot to offer so we did rent a Jeep and venture out each day. The location of the house was perfect for that too-it is centrally located between Christiansted and Frederiksted so it was an easy place to venture out from. And, it was only a 5 minute drive down to the beautiful Cane Bay Beach. Not only is the house amazing, the property manager, Kiki, is truly wonderful. She was incredibly helpful to us. She answered all of our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. We hope someday to travel back to St Croix and we would definitely choose to stay in this same DREAM HOUSE again.

Summary: I never want to stay anywhere else on St Croix! It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a group of friends. I live on St Croix, and have *never* seen a better view, anywhere on the island! Plus, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need, the pool and open living room are so gorgeous, there's practically no reason to leave.

Summary: The home is well maintained and beautiful though the surrounding grounds were not especially accessable. The amenities were pretty much as advertised though the washer/dryer access was a bit awkward and there was no snorkel gear other than a set of flippers. The views are to die for and Kiki was great in setting up massages and giving our nieces some lessons on fire dancing techniques. A great place for families. Bill & Cathy

Summary: We traveled to St. Croix to celebrate my son's graduation by going on a scuba diving trip. There were seven people in our group, and we all loved this property. The pool and the common areas were perfect for relaxing on the trip. We all loved that each bedroom was its own oasis with air conditioning and a bathroom. Kiki, the property owner, was so gracious and helpful from start to finish. She met us at the airport when our very late flight arrived. She provided suggestions on grocery and restaurants, which was helpful. We even got to see her perform her fire dancing at a Christiansted restaurant. The performance and the food were amazing. The view from the home was beyond beautiful. We normally are on the go during our family vacations, but we felt so perfectly at home during our stay that we decided to thoroughly relax after our diving excursions. The home is fifty years old and has endured abuse from the elements, but we did not find those issues problematic. Overall, the house and our trip were absolutely amazing. We are blessed to have experienced the island, the home, and the ever gracious, Kiki.

Summary: First: The view will take your breath away. Then the cool breezes will blow all your stress away. A rum drink or two to relax you and then you just sink into full on chill mode. From the amazing sunrises to the beautiful sunsets, this villa has it all. But if you thought that's all there was, then wait to you meet Kiki. She was the epitome of perfect host and property manager. She helped us make the absolute most of our week on St Croix! She is so kind, generous, thoughtful and fun! She really took an amazing vacation to another level for us! Thank you Kiki for sharing your beautiful home and beautiful personality with us!

Summary: I could not even imagine a more beautiful place to stay. The open air living spaces are pristine, breezy, with a breathtaking view. And somehow the view from the balcony of the bedroom is even nicer! The grounds are kept immaculate, tropical flowers blooming every where. The kitchen has everything you need to make breakfast or host a dinner party. The owners obviously take a lot of pride in making their space not only beautiful, but welcoming and peaceful. I can't remember the last time I felt so relaxed. Every vacation from now on will be trying to live up to this one!

Summary: We just returned from what was one of the best family vacations for my husband, teenage son, my sister, and my parents. Larimar is an astounding property. Sitting on top of a hill with a breathtaking view of Cane Bay, the open floor plan of the house creates an atmosphere of being one with the natural beauty surrounding the house. Photographs on the VRBO listing accurately show the property. But what the photographs can’t show are the other elements that make Larimar special. Tropical breezes cooled the open great room all day and evening making it our favorite spot for lounging, eating, reading and just staring at the ever-changing colors of the sea. The view from the balcony off the second floor master bedroom was incredible, especially at night. The pool was refreshing. Humming birds visited the flowering shrubs on the patio daily and we all got a kick out of the little green geckos scampering everywhere. Having the small kitchen across from the main living area was different but made the whole living area feel larger. At times during the day and night, the gentle sound of the surf could be heard. Peace and tranquility are hallmarks of Larimar. The other element not captured by photographs we believe was the most important: Michael, the property manager. Michael’s passion about the island and his exuberance in wanting to share all his knowledge of things to see and do were the sparks that made the vacation truly memorable. Following his suggestions, we saw and experienced things we would not have on our own. He gave us mini-tours on two days and we loved both excursions! Driving through the rain forest, picking fresh mangos, exploring ruins of sugar cane estates, buying beer for pigs, and tasting the special Mamma-wanna drink, enjoying the Sunday-Fun day at Rainbow beach, were just some of the things Michael showed us. His restaurant recommendations were spot-on. The GPS device he provided for our use was invaluable! To cap-off a wonderful week, Michael arranged for Kiki and the Flaming Gypsies (all wonderful, smart ladies) to come to Larimar to perform their fire dances. Fabulous! Snorkeling at Cane Bay and lounging on the beach at Carambola were great. The overall friendliness of the locals put us at ease. There are so many more wonderful things we did not get to do that I foresee another trip back to St. Croix and, hopefully, to Larimar, because with Michael as the concierge, the trip will be outstanding!
