Summary: We had a great time at Ralph's retreat. We all had a relaxing time as the kids swam all week long, they loved the diving board and the littles loved hunting frogs- which was easy as they were everywhere!. Take the time to read the reviews as they were helpful. The road in is definitely a bit rough in parts, a SUV or truck is required. When Google Maps says you are here but nothing looks like the ad, keep going another couple minutes to the right and you will go through the labeled gate. No coffee perk, bring your own, only had a French press. The cottage has a bit of everything which is great and extra items in the bathroom in case you forgot something.

Summary: The site is exactly as described, a retreat. The host was quick to reply to our questions and welcomed us on arrival to give us a tour of the cottage and explain security and safety measures. The cottage is on a private late which made for very quiet fire nights. The private lake is also a nice feature. Be mindful the cottage is on a backcountry road that is not easy to navigate with a city car. I would go back for another stay.

Summary: Challenging drive to a beautiful rustic property. The private lake was breathtaking at all times of the day. So much fun was had! The moonrise and stars at night were amazing! Bring your own bedding.

Summary: Ralph's Retreat was such a happy find. The home is beautiful, the property is stunning and Ralph is a very attentive host. With private waterfront, endless trails to explore and quiet evenings to sit by the fire, it was the down time we needed. We look forward to returning in the future. Other notes about the property. - it is a homestead, which I loved and found charming, but maybe not for everyone. - we found the beds a bit hard for our liking but we layered a couple of blankets under our sheets and slept very well

Summary: Ralph was a great host, easy to communicate with and any requests we had, he was happy to oblige in a timely manner. A lake to ourselves, what more can you want! The swimming was gorgeous, beautiful sandy entry and a “raft” with ladder as a destination to swim to, amazing! Canoe, row boat, paddle board and diving board added to our activities. We also went around the trail with our dog, it was a bonus. The huge island in the kitchen is fantastic. The deck looking out to the lake is ideal, great comfy furniture. The pics are accurate, this is a rustic place and if you’re ok with that and country living meaning bugs, wildlife and a hobby farm nearby, you’ll be happy here. Bring your creature comforts with you if you’re picky. It was so relaxing we all felt as though we stayed longer than a week. We’ll be back!!
