Newley constructed New Englander with a bright & cheery 2nd floor 1 bedroom apartment. Suitable for 2 adults and 1 child. It has a Queen Bed in the bedroom with the possibility of a pack-n-play. It has direct tv & wireless internet. Located in private neighborhood, on two acres of land, at the end of a dead end street. Short walk to the beach, boardwalk & downtown Rockland. Great vacation spot for visiting the Lobster Festival, Blues Festival, Boat Show, Summer Solstice Celebration & Schooner Days.

Summary: Clean , modern , well equipped spacious apartment nestled in the woods just up the hill from a private beach that looks out onto Rockland Harbor and Rockland Lighthouse….1/2 mile from downtown Rockland and seated at the start of St George’s Penninsula, with beautiful vistas from every little cove…..the owners were friendly and attentive….. the owls actually serenaded me at night at this Owls Head retreat! Loved it!

Summary: Wonderful stay at Papas Pad. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Really roomy. Lots of closet space. Large bathroom. Kitchen is very usable. Location is perfect . You can walk to town. Golf and sightseeing. Ferry or schooner rides. We stayed a month . It was great. Thank you Jeff and Judy

Summary: We’ve used VRBO for the past five years and this one is our favorite. Judy was very nice and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a separate entrance so we could come and go without disturbing anyone. The apartment was well stocked with kitchen utensils and the bathroom had plenty of towels and extra toiletries. Overall it had wonderful accommodations.Our goal was to visit many sites up and down the coastline of Maine and this property was perfectly located in the center of the coastline. The small town of Rockland, ME, that borders their property, had a variety of restaurants and shops. Many other quaint towns are just a few miles away. We are already talking about when we can come back to stay again!

Summary: Wonderful, roomy apartment, high on hill practically at the tree line. There were plenty of breezes inspite of the record heat this summer. The kitchen had everything you would need. The owners are quiet and you hardly know they are there. Down the street and across Route 73 there is a quiet beach that faces the Light House across the harbor. It is a a short, twenty minute walk provided you are fit. A minute up the road is Rockland and everything it offers which is a lot. Birch Point State Park is also just down the road and it is the type of beach everyone pictures Maine to be. We would love to go back.

Summary: My wife and I just returned to Florida after spending the month of September at this lovely New England home and we wish we could of stayed longer. Everything you needed was in the house from bathroom necessities to kitchen appliances, utensils, pots, pans nothing was missing. The hosts were really friendly and if we needed anything all we had to do was ask. Duncan their pet dog - all 204 lbs - greeted us when we left and returned home. The apartment over the garage is really big for two people which was nice because you were not cramped. Four people could stay there easily but there is only one bedroom. The apartment was very very clean. Rockland is a nice town with plenty of stores and places to eat, although some restaurants close for the season before the middle of September. Many other towns are just a short drive from the Rockland apartment. Rockland golf course is just a short drive away for you golfers. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Barry and Ann

Summary: We were in the unique position of needing to extend our stay due to the delayed birth of our grandson. Judy and Jeff came to our rescue and were wonderful to us the whole time. The apartment is extremely well equipped, lots of light throughout the unit, good kitchen, comfortable furniture and bed. Judy has set up a superb retreat. The house is easy to get to, close to the town of Rockland with the museums and restaurants nearby. This was one of the best places I've ever rented through HomeAway.

Summary: This in-law apartment couldn't have been more comfortable!! It is roomy, clean, quiet and VERY comfortable with all the creature comforts of home!! It had everything we needed for our short one week stay (I wish we could have stayed longer!). And Judy and Jeff made sure everything was clean and in order so it was a very comfortable stay. They are very personable and accommodating landlords. I am hoping we can get back there next year for a longer stay!!

Summary: Jeff and Judy were great hosts (living on-site) when my husband and I rented this private apartment for three beautiful summer months. The house, grounds, and apartment are spotless. The kitchen was stocked with everything necessary to cook and serve intimate meals or small dinner parties. We spent many happy nights grilling meals and drinking wine on our own balcony. Ocean breezes flow through the airy apartment keeping it cool all summer long, and bright, cheery sun fills the space all day. The bed is comfortable and linens are new and spotless. At the end of the road there is a private sandy beach, and downtown Rockland is a safe walk one mile walk away, with plenty of shopping and award winning restaurants. I highly recommend this property for a short stay or long-term rental.
