Travelling with kids? To get a break from the kids? For work? Or just need a change of scenery? We are an adaptive space that caters to multiple visitors. If you are celebrating an occasion, let us know how we can help make it extra special!
The space: Our suite is a bright and spacious 1 Bedroom/1 Bathroom basement suite located in a newer home, with private entrance and keypad access.
The bedroom offers a cozy queen size bed with quality linens, extra blankets and a pillow menu. There is plenty of storage with a huge closet and dresser. Bedroom alarm clock and desk lamp have USB chargers for your charging needs.
Our full kitchen includes all basic kitchen amenities, including complimentary coffee and tea as well as oil and seasonings. Like eggs? Let us know and we will provide some of our own farm fresh eggs as a thank you for staying with us.
There is a separate work space with super high speed WIFI, charging ports, and an ergonomic chair for your comfort.
The living room boasts a HUGE 75 inch TV with surround sound. Neflix, Roku and cable access are included. The futon flattens to sleep 2 comfortably.
If you are traveling with kids, let them run around our large fenced backyard and jump on our trampoline.
As big animal lovers ourselves, 1 pet is allowed provided the animal is well behaved and owner is responsible. There will be a pet fee of $60. More than 1 pet may be considered on a case by case basis. Please note, we have a very friendly hypoallergenic dog that lives with us, as well as 2 kids.
There is a washer/drier available on site, by request.
We also have a hot tub that is available on request. Hot tub and deck are closed after 10pm. Please do not book hot tub parties here.
Finally, don't forget to check out the in suite gym and infrared sauna while you are here too!
*** Please let us know if you would like to use the hot tub or covered patio. The backyard and trampoline are also shared.
Other things to note:
No smoking of any substance allowed in unit or near property. Use of sauna, hot tub and trampoline are at your own risk. Please supervise your children at all times. Use caution when walking on the outdoor rock path.
If you require any children's items or supplies, please advise us in advance and we will do our best to provide you with what you need. A pack and play is available on request.
*Our suite can comfortably accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 kids. Maximum of 3 adults per stay.

Summary: Stayed for a week with my partner and daughter. We did not spend a lot of time in the unit as we were there for a ball tournament. However, my quick thoughts: Easy to find and get in. The property manager answered me quickly when I had questions, they even checked in with us 24-48h after we got in to see if everything was alright. We were so busy I didn't see the email until I got home. There were some complimentary snacks to welcome us, very nice! I was told there was a dog. In 7 days, I didn't hear the dog bark once. I thought I heard the dog cry when someone left but realized it was on the tv. I did get to meet the dog coming in one evening and the puppy was super friendly and loving. It did not jump up or go nuts just came over and wiggled their bottom looking for a rub lol! This is the complete opposite of my dog. This rental is as advertised, although we did not even get up to look at the hot tube oasis because we were so tired from ball every day. Wi-Fi worked great, which is essential for those with teenagers. Trying to come up with negatives,,, I would say parking is not at the door, but the street parking was still close, and it was a safe area, so I wasn't at all concerned about crime. I found the bed a little soft for my partner and I so, the daughter got the bed, and we took the futon sofa bed. I would stay there again for many reasons but next time I might request some time playing with the dog. Great first experience using Vrbo!

Summary: We were in the lower mainland visiting family over the long weekend and found this gem! We took full advantage of the outdoor hot tub. The location is very private. Even though it’s the lower level of the house, it has large windows, and is very spacious, bright and comfortable. We would definitely definitely stay here again!

Summary: Maybe it is just us, but we did not realize from the listing on VRBO that it is a basement portion of a home (in a residential neighborhood) till we actually reached there! So, a little bit of disappointment to start with as we were not looking forward to a vacation in a basement. The host lives right above. You share the hot tub and outside space with them. Although you need to let them know about using the hot tub and backyard space, they were not present while we used those late evenings. It is up to guests if they mind that or not but for us, we were not fully comfortable as it took away some of the privacy and complete freedom to use the facility. Although listing did not advertise host/homeowner did let us use their charger at night for our EV. Parking is an issue. You cannot park on their driveway as they need to take out their cars every morning, so I had to unplug my EV late at night and park on the street. And then on Friday which is garbage collection day you need to park still far away from the cul-de-sac to avoid municipal fines! otherwise, the basement home was very clean and ready for our use. The host did not mind an hour and a half early check-in as well. They have a sauna and exercise room with some equipment in the basement itself if you need it. Location is about 30-40 mins drive from Vancouver and the main attractions!

Summary: Liked card and snacks and drinks they put in the basket. Bed is comfortable. Shower great! Washer and dryer to use. Very nice couple. Liked security lights coming on at night to go to suite. Nice backyard. Loved the hottub. Nice area.

Summary: We had a very unpredictable schedual for our sons national basketball tournament and the hosts helped us navigate our stay with fast responses and accommodation. The place was very comfortable for us to rest and have some downtime. We were provided with easy access that an everyday home provides which made our trip that much better. Well done. We would book again if we come this way again.
