Positive: We stayed here at the end of September for three nights. Very convenient location - the downtown is only 3.5 miles away, you can even walk, not far from the beautiful Washigton Cathedral, the park is within walking distance. The apartment is very cozy, clean, has everything you need in the kitchen, beautiful and interesting game room. Natasha is a responsive and friendly hostess. We were very happy to meet her.

Positive: This suite has the ability to be a total gem. The layout, including bedroom, sitting area, bathroom, full kitchen are such a nice additive and the space is really maximized. It is the perfect setup for a long weekend or week-long trip. Parking was on-street but no issues there as there is an abundance of on street parking available. It was also super close to rock creek park, which really benefited us as we were in town to see the Tennis Citi open. We were able to walk to/from the park; the neighborhood seems very quiet and safe. Also, the host went out of their way to provide a parking pass for us prior to our check-in time - so we could go to the tournament and not have to pay to park. I appreciate the responsiveness and willingness to provide accommodations.
Negative: The bathroom needs an upgrade, as the shower has a serious mold issue that appears to be caulked over time and time again. Getting in the shower was tough as well, as the shower head does not pivot. So when you go to turn the water on, you must be in the shower with the door closed; otherwise water will spray all over the floor (which is apparent has happened previously based on the water stains along the door, tile, and molding). There were also cobwebs underneath the wine stand/tv stand in the "sitting area", which is surprising as a $65 cleaning fee is charged per guest. I truly recommend a deep clean for the space. Upon entering there was a pungent odor (similar to a dentist office). After the first night, we realized the cleaner used may have been to mask the "cat litter box" odor. We often got waves of used kitty litter, that was really off-putting. I recognize it's a pet friendly suite; however, we had a hard time getting over the smell. The bed is not the worst I've slept on, but certainly feels as if it is a used mattress that needs to be replaced. I believe there is a mattress cover on top to help make it slightly more comfortable but my husband struggled, so we left the night before so we could sleep in our own bed comfortably. With a deep-deep cleaning and some minimal cleanup/repairs of the bathroom, this place would be worth every penny!
