Nearby hikes. Hundreds of Incredible Mountain Biking trails. Cozy Family room. Close proximity to Salt Lake City. 2 adorable cozy rooms. Nice Full Kitchen with all the needed appliances to cook up a warm meal after your day on the slopes. Fast wifi! This is apt has a separate entrance and no shared spaces
The space
This is a basement apartment with two bedrooms. Private yard area. Separate entrance. The sauna has exclusive use for this unit. The first bedroom has a large California King Log bed. The Second bedroom features a queen bed. Laundry facility with laundry detergent. Kick back in the family room where there is a smart TV that has the ability to stream from popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and much more. There is a full kitchen with all the needed appliances to cook a nice warm meal after your day skiing or your night out on the town. There is a separate entrance to your cute basement apartment where you will be sure to love your stay. You will have access to your own private fenced off yard area with an outdoor table.

Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE that this is a basement apartment and that are often guests in the upstairs apt. While we have made efforts to soundproof the basement, there is going to be some noise coming from the upstairs unit that is inevitable. We are a 4 minute drive from the mouth of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon. That puts a grand total of about 20 minutes from the time you leave the house until you are on the slopes skiing. In the summer time we are just minutes away from thousands of incredible hikes where you can go and see beautiful wildflowers, wildlife (Moose, Elk, Deer, Fox, Porcupine and much more) lakes and waterfalls, climbing routes, and mountain biking destinations. With our close proximity to Snowbird you can take a tram ride up and take advantage of all their other fun activities they offer like the alpine roller coaster, zip lines, and alpine slide, Oktoberfest and much more. Temple square and This is the Place Heritage Park are really close along with Thanksgiving point where they host the Tulip Festival and have a petting zoo. Gardener Village is a cute old historic flour mill with 22 retail shops and a close place to visit. We are close to City Creek, the outlets at Traverse Mountain and many other shopping areas. A visit to Olympic Park in quaint Park City Utah is less than 40 minutes away. We would be happy to give you plenty of other ideas of fun places to visit. This is one of the few places where you can be so closely located to all the outdoor recreation Utah has to offer along with the fun activities downtown.

Summary: We had a great experience with our stay. The hosts were very responsive, property was clean, and we loved having the sauna after long days on the slopes. Would absolutely come back and stay again, especially given how close we were to the ski resorts!

Summary: The location of this property was perfect for our stay. We were in the SLC area for a week to ski and was just right for the amount of time we spent in the place. Part of the reason we booked this stay was for the sauna which was a nice way to relax after coming off the slopes for the day. Our one complaint about this listing is that the mattress in the primary room had a bit of a sag/dip to it in the middle. Overall this place fit the bill we were looking for and we enjoyed our stay!

Summary: Very convenient to ski in Alta and snowbird. However too small for family of 4. Multiple things don’t work such as the motion detect light at the front door, hair dryer and table lamp. there is also smell in the house that’s hard to get rid of. A dining table would be helpful.

Summary: Great neighborhood, close to shopping, movie theaters and great view of the mountians. The listing itself a basement apartment,the host is above you and they must have children because we could hear them late into the night and early in the AM. So be aware of that. The sauna was so tiny the door was shorter than one of our friends and definitely wouldnt havent fit the 3 of us comfortably. The vrbo is also up a flight of wood stairs that are steep and not solid, and the parking isnt great. The hosts are easy to reach and did let us check in early, however changed the checkout requirement the night before we were to leave. Overall the beds aren't bad, the vrbo is cute but kids upstairs, carrying luggage up awful stairs, a sauna you can't use. It wasnt the girls weekend we were looking for.

Summary: We stayed here for a quick long weekend ski trip. The check in/out process couldn’t have been easier. The location was right at the mouth of big cottonwood canyon which made our morning commute to the mountain very easy. In terms of negatives, the upstairs neighbors (this is a basement vrbo) seemed to be playing tackle football for roughly 3 hours each evening. Excessive noise on the ceiling.

Summary: Property is a basement apartment so the family upstairs can be heard going about their business, so expect to hear what is going on above. Not bad, but noticeable on occasion.
