Summary: We loved our time there. The kids swam as soon as they woke up and at night before going to bed. We made many meals there and the kitchen was so well stocked! And so many different areas to have meals both inside and out. We didn’t have a car and the walk down to sa tuna is a bit of a workout but we enjoyed it all. Alison is an amazing host with great restaurant suggestions in the area for your day trips. We tried multiple restaurants she suggested and were so glad we did. Would definitely stay here again. Already planning our next trip!

Summary: Ali's house is incredible! It was one of the highlights of our trip. Stunning and impeccably clean. We especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoor eating space as well as the cozy family room with wraparound sofa and fireplace. Her kitchen was fully stocked with high end equipment and our group cooked many communal meals together. Highly recommend!

Summary: We rented this property for a family holiday, the villa and pool exceeded our expectations. Very well equipped with top quality appliances and utensils. Garden was well kept and the views across the Med are stunning especially at sunrise. Whereas the area is beautiful I would suggest that a car is essential to make the most of the local area. The walk to Sa Tuna is only 10 minutes however the walk back is quite a climb, Begur is also within walking distance and has an array of nice restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend this villa and Ali is an exceptional host, we would love to return in the future.

Summary: The villa is in an idyllic position with sea views, garden, terrace, shaded eating area and a brilliant swimming pool. Plenty of room for 8 of us and Dyson fans in every bedroom which ensured a good night's sleep in what was a very hot stay. The kitchen equipment was exceptional. The host had thought of everything to make our visit enjoyable and was very helpful about the local region with many tips to make our stay interesting. Thank you Ali!

Summary: We enjoyed a wonderful week in this stunning villa outside of the beautiful village of Sa Tuna. The villa is finished to the highest standards and was a great place to relax by the pool after a day exploring the amazing medieval towns dotted throughout this area of Spain. We travelled with young children and the beaches were not so child friendly - typically stony or rocky beaches rather than sandy, and crowded as you would expect at this time of year, so having a haven like this was perfect. Our only criticism was the absence of air conditioning - with temperatures close to 40 degrees the bedrooms were uncomfortably hot! The owners have equipped and furnished the property with a great eye for detail and provide great information on what to do in the area.

Summary: We wanted to spend the summer in Spain in a location that was relaxing and beautiful but also offered plenty to do for a family with two young boys. We could not have chosen a better spot than Begur or a better home than La Casa del Repos. The house is lovely -- a stunning view of the Mediterranean, perfect pool, gorgeous outdoor space and an easy-to-use kitchen. The covered outdoor space allowed us to eat every meal outside and to read or play games with the kids in the fresh air. Even in the rain, the covered space is accessible. The pool was refreshing and fun and the yard offered space for the kids to run around and for the adults to find shade and comfy chairs at any time of day. The four bedrooms made it easy for everyone to have his own space while welcoming guests as well. The location is ideal. Early morning walks to Sa Tuna (beach) and along the coast were stunning and the path to Begur (town) was easy and pleasant -- the kids loved walking into town for chocolate croissants and to purchase fresh bread and fruit for the day. There are at least five other beaches, all with lovely hiking paths, kayaking, etc. within easy 20 minute drives AND a half dozen medieval villages, all with lovely sights and top notch restaurants are within a half hour. We loved many of our day trips as well -- Girona, Cadaques, snorkeling from Estarit are all easily done. Our children became big Salvador Dali fans, and his museum and two homes are easily reached. The owner, Ali, was incredibly helpful and her local team is great. Casa Care responded quickly to anything that wasn't working, the wonderful gardener Ryan offered us fresh cuttings and made our surroundings beautiful. The Casa Care owner's daughter babysat for us so that we could take advantage of Begur's first rate restaurants in the evenings. Ali provided tons of great suggestions for what to do and the home has several guidebooks that were more helpful than anything I had found prior to our trip. We felt like we really saw the best of Spain and the Costa Brava and fell right into the casual lifestyle of Spain (touring in the mornings...long lunches with Sangria...back to the pool in the afternoon!) The house is 90 minutes from Barcelona -- it would be an easy vacation to spend a few days in that world class city and then to come to Costa Brava to relax and enjoy the natural beauty and relaxation of Spain!
