Waterfront Home on 15 acres directly on the Mattaponi River, the most pristine tidal freshwater estuary east of the Mississippi. Spacious Interiors are Warm & Welcoming. Endless Vistas of Serene Waterscapes from Every Direction.

First Floor: Laundry Room, Kitchen, Screened Porch, Dining Area, Living Room with stone fireplace, Master Bedroom with King Bed, tub, separate shower and double vanities, two walk in closets, and connected to a Sunporch, sofa and recliner. Also, two half baths on First Floor.
Second Floor: Master suite with Queen Bed (whirlpool tub and shower), one double bedroom with four Twin Beds (two in each room), one bedroom with Queen Bed, a twin size "hall bed", and additional bath with tub and shower and double vanities.
Lower Level: Rec room with pool table, ping pong table, fireplace, TV area , sofa and love seat, and bath with shower and double vanities.
Dock with kayaks.
Two TV's (First Floor and Lower Level), with Dish network. Fire pit.
The river is freshwater, so no need to worry about stinging nettles!
There is free WiFi at the property. Cell coverage is good.
Although secluded, the home is close to many nearby attractions including Busch Gardens, Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. One hour from Richmond and its great museums. Also 18 miles from Cumberland Estate wedding venue. Great place to stay for Virginia Garden Week, golf or winery tours!

Summary: The house was much bigger than expected! There was an incident where a tree fell blocking the driveway (of course not his fault) but he had it fixed in no time! We will definitely be staying here again!

Summary: Highly recommended for an elegant getaway with an extended Family. 3 generations of our family stayed (Grandparents; Parents; Grand/Children) and my son brought 2 friends. This home was big enough for us all, with room to spare. This upscale home had all of the nice touches (2 kitchen sinks; grill out back; spacious windows; amazing river views; large dock on the river) and we had a great stay during rain and sunshine. My son and friends went to Busch Gardens 4-days in a row (about a 40-min trip) while the older folks enjoyed Downtown / Colonial Williamsburg. And West Point has a cute/walkable downtown street and a cool seafood market (Three Rivers) to buy crabs from -- very reasonably priced. The host (Tom) is very responsive and accommodating -- he couldn't have been nicer, which we really appreciate. Highly recommended.

Summary: This was the second time staying at Tom's wonderful home on the river, and won't be the last. Tom is an extremely thoughtful and attentive host, with quick and clear communication. The house and location is phenomenal. Can't think of a way to improve our time there.

Summary: We had a great time staying at this property. We were absolutely in love with the home and views of the river. The house is exactly as pictured and HUGE. Our kids loved having so much space to play. We spent plenty of time on the porch looking at the river and playing games. This home was an easy drive to Busch Gardens & Colonial Williamsburg.
