Positive: New kitchen and bathroom, but hardly any plates or pots and pans. Could not adequately cook. Huge new dishwasher but not much to put in. Very comfortable bed on the first floor, BUT NO LIVING AREA. if you hire a house (and not a cheap one) you expect to be able to "live" there. Two chairs upstairs near the bed is not a living area. Everything that is in the unit is new and top of the range, but it needs a couch and a tv downstairs. And coffee! It has been the only place on our whole trip where coffee for their specific coffeemachine was not provided (only 3 for a 3 day stay), which felt unwelcoming.
Negative: No living área, not enough kitchenware, no coffee. But these things should be easy to fix.

Positive: A beautiful riverfront location with walking trails nearby. The owner made us feel welcome and went out of his way to provide amenities for our stay. The views out the windows are outstanding and the back patio is a hidden gem which I did not have a chance to take advantage of. Would stay here again.
Negative: The upstairs bedroom is only accessible via a circular staircase which may present difficulties for those who have difficulty lifting luggage upstairs or heading downstairs for access for bathrooms and kitchen sink. .
Summary: If proximity to nature is of value to you, this is your place. Owner is keen to assist in any way.
