Summary: We had an excellent trip. River was amazing and we especially liked reading the Legends of the Au Sable book that was left for guests. House had everything we needed including toiletries and extra blankets. Visiting the state park nearby was a highlight. Did not care for the camera in the backyard that I could hear every time I walked by while playing bocci ball. Recommend taking food with since there are only two bars and a dollar general in town. Emily was kind enough to drop off extra kayaks when I inquired if there were any for us to use. She also made addition accommodations for us and I appreciate that very much. We didn’t get the warmest weather so are interested in visiting again in the future. Thanks for being a great host.

Summary: We needed a place to stay for a weekend while attending a birding event at Hartwick Pines State Park. Emily's home is very warm and welcoming - beautiful location right on the river. Great communication / quick to respond to questions. My only complaint - which is not Emily's fault at all - is the mosquitoes were very bad. Make sure you bring heavy duty repellent. Very charming place - would definitely stay there again.

Summary: Beautiful setting on the Au Sable River! Great place would highly recommend this charming home to anyone who enjoys a great Northern Michigan River experience. My wife felt instantly at home in this well maintained house. Hosts were fantastic and communication was great! Also the area restaurants were fantastic in Frederic, perfect vacation getaway!

Summary: Great place to stay for a trip to the orv trails. The sandy entry into the river made for a good makeshift ice bath after a long day. Will try to stay again if in the area.

Summary: Was a great few nights, The house was very clean, beds comfortable, 2 bathrooms, plenty of storage and ,very spacious, nice fireplace to use as it was a bit chilly. Older quaint farmhouse, loved the piano, and the decor representing the owner who lived there before. Outside by the river was nice, would have loved to see a little bit of tidiness outdoors. The property is a good size, a good weedwacking would show the property so much better. We would love to come back.
