NATURE AT IT'S BEST! Sit back, relax and enjoy Arizona's famous sunsets and our fabulous mountain views. Bird/wildlife lovers paradise. At the base of the Tortolita Mountains with great views of Catalina Mountains also. HUGE WINDOWS THROUGHOUT. Ideal northwest Tucson location...7 miles East of Interstate 10; just east of Dove Mountain & Ritz Carlton, 20 minutes from airport. No neighbors nearby, but you are minutes from wonderful shopping, movies, restaurants, etc. Fry's (Kroger) Superstore/marketplace 1 mile. Chinese restaurant in same center.
Enjoy our wraparound, covered patio with great views, gas BBQ and patio set. ).
Hear the coyotes howl, see bobcats, big eared jack rabbits, gambel quail, road runners, cactus wrens, soaring red tail & harris hawks.... maybe even some nocturnal javalenas(pecary...looks like small wild pig).
Sorry, no smoking & no pets.
Our Casita Del Sol (Little Sunshine House)has a large King bed, master-suite with step-in shower, double vanity, walk-in closet and Huge view window. It includes the following antiques: dressing table, Oak Chest of drawers and mirrored corner cupboard. The Queen Bedroom is decorated in southwestern flavor and is totally inviting. The 3rd bedroom/office has a queen bed and desk. Second bathroom has tub with shower. There is abundant natural light, beautiful southwestern tile floors throughout the home and comfortable air conditioning/gas heat. French doors, from the kitchen, open onto the wrap-around covered patio.

We rent for a minimum of 2 nights and we offer weekly and monthly discounted rates. Our cancellation policy is different than what it shows in this listing. It is more relaxed. You can see it by reading the rental contract you need to sign with us. You can definitely get a refund if you have an illness, or serious reason why you cannot come. We have never kept anyone's payment for cancelling. thank you!

Summary: We had an outstanding stay in a wonderful property. The tennis court was such a bonus for little tyker play area. The hosts are exceptional and the house was spotless, well equipped and super fun. The amazing birds at the feeder were so great to watch. The location is close to hikes, stores and parks.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Casa del Sol so very much! It's fairly equidistant to Saguaro West and Tucson Mountain Park vs. The Catalina Road up toward Mt. Lemmon and Sabino Canyon, then you've got Dove Mountain literally in the back yard and Romero Canyon fairly close -- so much to enjoy, and virtually everything in the house that you could need!! Larry and Claire are close at hand if you need anything, but not obtrusive. In short, an ideal paradise to call home for a couple weeks or more!!

Summary: Casita Del Sol is a beautiful place to stay! We were surrounded by nature and close to several great hiking trails. We also attended our niece’s wedding in downtown Tucson just minutes away. Larry and Claire have made their Casita very comfortable with all the amenities you could possibly need. We are photography enthusiasts and birders and loved seeing an abundance of wildlife during our stay. We did not want to leave and expect to return again someday!

Summary: The property was lovely, felt like we were out in the wilderness despite being off a main road. We loved watching the mountains change color throughout the day. An easy short hike thru the desert is close by. Property owners responded promptly to a battery request and checked on us during our stay, nice people. The house was immaculate. We would absolutely stay here again.

Summary: We had an amazing stay! This property is gorgeous and had everything we needed. We saw beautiful sunsets and had an interesting experience with a javelina the first night! It was super exciting. Larry and Claire were so nice and friendly. We will definitely stay here again on future trips.

Summary: We stayed over Thanksgiving while visiting family in Marana and Tucson. Location was great for us, and close proximity to shopping and restaurants. We joked that the casita was nicer than our first house! We’d definitely stay again.

Summary: We stayed at Casita del Sol for six weeks ending in April, 2023. Claire and Larry were gracious and helpful hosts, but were not intrusive in any way. The casita was well-supplied with paper products and toiletries to last the entire length of our stay. The kitchen has all you need to make and serve any meal. Most casitas are small, but this one is spacious, with three bedrooms and two baths, which made it easy to host our two sets of overnight visitors. A walk-in closet, king-size bed and en suite bath make the master bedroom super convenient. There is wonderful bird life and Sonoran desert vegetation right outside the door. The nearby Tortolita trail systems offer varied hiking opportunities, and there are abundant bike trails close at hand. We highly recommend the facility and the Klinglers as hosts.

Summary: A wonderful and calming casita fully surrounded by nature. The hosts Claire and Larry were above and beyond hospitable. We were even provided with oranges and lemons from their trees upon arrival! Easy access to amenities. Would 100% stay there again.
