Relax and enjoy a small family reunion, weekend getaway, wine tasting. Large gatherings will be considered but will incur an additional fee, please inquire with us about your event.
Backyard amenities include built in swimming pool with slide and solar heating, hot tub, cabana, two outdoor fire pit/fireplace, zip line, lighted bocce court, trampoline and vegetable garden. Our home is casual, but you will feel comfortable and cozy. The layout of the home and yard make for an enjoyable visit with family or friends.
Brentwood is known for its U-Pick farms and is the corn capital west of the Rockies, 1 mile from Hannah Nicole Winery, 1 hour from San Francisco, 1 hour from Napa, 1/2 hour from Livermore wine country, 7 miles to boat access in Discovery Bay, CA.
Gas BBQ, 14,000 sq. feet of grass.
We do have a dog on site- Border Collie named "J" - Someone will come by daily to give her fresh water and food but done so without interference to your stay - she is about 14 years old and kept in her pen...she is sweet and loves to play, feel free to let her out.
We also ask that you please do not smoke in the house. We are non-smokers and prefer that you stay outside if you choose to. Thank you for being considerate of this request.

Summary: This is my family's 2nd time staying at John and Paula's home! (See Valene W's review from July 2021). Can I just say ditto to everyone's reviews? Everything and more for a family vacation to feel like you're home away from home. Cannot express enough how kind and attentive Paula is during all aspects of the trip. From the booking, to the time leading up to the trip, during our stay, and any follow ups. As of the writing of this review, the photos are actually not up to date... there is a renovated kitchen and bathrooms! This home is top notch and I cannot thank the Mix Family enough for sharing it with us. Thank you!

Summary: Terrific property. So much to do: beautiful pool with slide and many pool floats, great trampoline, lovely shaded patio with tables for outdoor meals, beautiful spacious lawn area with ping pong table, volleyball net, bocce ball court and even a zip line. this is a our second time here and we loved it! Ideal for a large family group like ours with adults and children of different ages.

Summary: This home is beautiful and perfect for a group get together for a special occasion or just to get away and relax! The pictures didn’t do it justice, just breathtaking and well maintained! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool and being outdoors soaking in all the greenery! I highly recommend!

Summary: We spent Labor Day weekend here and had a blast. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and lots of activities on the property. We brought coolers thinking fridge space might be an issue but ended up not needing them because there are two mini fridges outside. J the dog is super friendly and playful. Everyone loved having her around. She is afraid of fire/barks at fires (at least she was for us) so you may need to put her up when you build a campfire. The pool is great. Kitchen is great. Very private oasis feeling. Owners were very communicative and accommodating throughout the stay. We even had fresh veggies from the garden. Trampoline is a blast. One of the bathrooms is only accessible via the master bedroom so make sure (if you have a large group) that whoever is in the master is cool with people coming through. Overall wonderful property — we will definitely be back at some point.

Summary: We spent our sons 10th birthday here and it was so much fun. The property is amazing and there was no reason to leave for anything. The kids and adults had a blast in the beautiful pool, trampoline, bocce ball court, and zip line. The house was very clean and the beds were beyond comfortable. The communication was great. We are already planning our trip back!

Summary: As soon as we arrived we immediately regretted not booking a longer stay. Now we’re scheming on how soon we can go back! There’s tons to do on the property, no reason to leave at all! Super thoughtful touches throughout including a very warm welcome. Clean and well stocked. Easy check out instructions. And sweet J the dog brought us so much joy! This home made girls’ weekend such a hit!

Summary: This was the perfect place for my extended family to have a mini vacation together, especially during this time with covid. The property had everything we needed to enjoy our time together, so we didn’t have to worry about having a vacation in crowded venues like theme parks or beaches. There’s so much land behind the house, and so many fun things to do! Our parents enjoyed taking 1-2 mile walks early in the morning on and around the property. The kids loved jumping on the trampoline, playing bocce ball, and of course swimming in the pool. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and very well kept, and our kids (ages 6-11) LOVED swimming everyday we were there. We even did s’mores at the campfire one night, which was already set up perfectly with wood for us by the owners. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to make home cooked meals. It’s also very close to downtown Brentwood if you need to get groceries or want to eat at restaurants. The owners, Paula and John, were very responsive and quick to answer any questions I had (both before our stay and during). Also, they gave us delicious fruit and veggies grown right on the property. I can’t say enough good things about this rental! On our last day there my 6 year old son asked me when we could come back. This place is definitely at the top of my list for vacation home rentals!

Summary: I have to say this place looked just ok in the pictures but the reviews were so good I decided to go for it! It was so much nicer in person! Kitchen and bathrooms looked to be remodeled. There were so many amenities; pool, hot tub, water slide, zip line, bocce court. A sweet property dog that we hung with the whole time which is optional if you are staying there. Well stocked kitchen, winery 2 min down the road, town 5 min up the road. Would definitely rent again!

Summary: This place deserves more than 5 stars! Paula and John are some of the nicest people I've met. I have to agree with some of the reviews I've read and say that the pictures does no justice to this place. The pool was the main attraction for us and the Zipline was really fun! Definitely need more than 2 nights here! Sooooo much to do and and sooo much fun for all ages!
