First built in 1893, Doulton Cottage has been meticulously renovated throughout, providing modern amenities and comfort whilst retaining the charm and elegance of the Victorian era with intact original features.
On a peaceful tree-lined street, Doulton Cottage is located near the junction of the Newell and Sturt Highways in the heart of Narrandera. This beautiful accommodation is convenient for a break to unwind and revive between Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, or as a base to explore the beautiful and historic Riverina region. Enjoy modern luxuries in your own private, pet-friendly Victorian-era cottage overlooking the iconic Narrandera Park, just a short stroll from the local hospital, shops, cafes and restaurants.
BEDROOMS
Doulton Cottage has two bedrooms, each designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation with private ensuite, climate control, luxurious bedding, electric blankets, and televisions.
- Master Bedroom: king bed, walk-in robe, private ensuite
- Garden View Room: queen bed, private ensuite
Please note: a booking of 1 or 2 people gives access to the entire house with the exception of the use of the Garden View bedroom and ensuite. Simply alter the booking to 3 or 4 people in order to utilize the Garden View bedroom. Further details are outlined below.
INDOOR LIVING
The open plan living area comprises of the lounge, dining and kitchen. Wifi and Foxtel available. When the temperature drops, curl up on the couch by the fire with a local wine.
The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances, including dishwasher and a coffee maker. It’s stocked with Nespresso coffee pods, a range of local preserves, and all the cooking staples you might need to ensure you feel right at home.
The laundry is equipped with a washer and dryer.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Lit with warm hanging lights, the spacious outdoor dining area includes a Weber BBQ and 8 person dining area for al fresco dining on warm nights. The yard is large and fully enclosed, giving plenty of space to enjoy the herb garden and breathe that beautiful Riverina air.
You will have full and exclusive use of Doulton Cottage. Please note that default pricing is set for two people, sharing one bedroom. The Garden View room will remain closed off at this rate - if you have a preference to stay in the Garden View room, just let us know. If you wish to use both bedrooms, please alter the booking to 3 or 4 people. Well behaved pets are welcome in all parts of the property, except on furnishings and bedding. The property is fully enclosed with secure fencing.

Summary: Beautiful and tasteful. Two Big bedrooms both with en-suites. Loved the front porch looking over the oval across the road. Made use of that almost immediately after we arrived. Highly recommend this place in a surprisingly beautiful and historical town.

Summary: Loved this cottage but felt a bit cluttered. There were a lot of cobwebs. Didn't like parking on road, lady next door kept parking out the front not in front of her place. All the food and condiments were a surprise, thank you. Comfy bed too. Good fenced yard for our little dog.

Summary: We loved staying in this gorgeous cottage on our road trip from Adelaide to Sydney. It is beautifully appointed and super comfortable. I slept so well. Great location, close to the main street but very quiet, overlooking the lush green park. Mark was a delight to communicate with. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Summary: Perfect getaway for the family with the fur babies. House was wonderful. Greeted with wine and chocolates and breakfast goodies. Perfect location across the road from the park and an easy stroll to town. The beds were so comfortable, and the front verandah and backyard was such a bonus.

Summary: Beautiful cottage with everything we needed. The wine was a lovely touch and a great end to the final night of our road trip. Within walking distance of the main street (or a 30 second drive). Host was easy to communicate with and the listing correctly represented the place. Would definitely stay here again.
