Punta Rassa Condominiums sit just before the Sanibel Causeway. It is truly a wildlife mecca. We frequently see dolphin from our lanai along with manatee, sting ray, osprey, pelicans and many other water birds.
Our Lanai faces North and views the inland coastal water way (Caloosahatchee River) and Cape Coral. The Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is part of the view to the Northeast. It is a beautiful scene day and night. The Sanibel Harbor Yacht Club is to the East. The boats pass in front of the condo to come and go. As part of a guest of Punta Rassa you have a complimentary social membership to the restaurants. You can sit and drink coffee or have a drink or meal and watch as the boats are hoisted out of the water and put into storage. To the west you see Pine Island and Sanibel Island. To the south you see the Sanibel bridge, the boat launch, the Gulf of Mexico, and Fort Myers Beach. On a clear day you can see all the way to Naples.
The condo association has a large pool and hot tub, tennis courts, shuffle board, play ground, gazebo with sitting area with gas grills and restrooms. The entire property is meticulously maintained and has beautiful landscaping. The association also owns a private community fishing dock that comes with a pier license. There are 2 other docks you can fish from but you'll need a license. There are plenty of walking areas.
Our condo is a 2 bedroom on the 10th floor. A large Lanai is on the North side. We have seen many osprey fly past the Lanai with their fresh catch in their talons. The guest bedroom has a small balcony with table and chairs that has views North, West and South. The guest bedroom can be private with it's own bathroom. The guest bath was remodeled in 2013. All kitchen appliances were replaced in 2014. From the front door and kitchen you can see the Gulf of Mexico, Fort Myers Beach and the condo pool. The condo is furnished with Tommy Bahama furniture.

Summary: My husband and I stayed in this unit for the month of March 2019. Let me first start with before we were able to rent I had a lengthy conversation with the owner Tom as he wanted to know about us as they values there home. I felt extremely comfortable renting from them as we had never done this before and I was a little nervous as I personally am a clean freak. The unit was perfect for us and was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking and linens. The view from our balcony was just amazing and the grounds were very well kept. We had two minor things and they were both fixed immediately without issue. Tom and Tammy made sure we were able to reach them if there was a need but as I said it was wonderful. Summary: My wife and I stayed in the condo for the month of December 2017. We really liked this location including the access to the yacht club and it's amenities and friendly staff. We also enjoyed the near 360 degree view from the lanai, side deck, and front of the unit, watching boats from the lanai and yacht club, biking to Sanibel Island, kayaking in the San Carlos Bay, and fishing off the private dock. We liked it so much we have already booked next December.
