Armadillo Studios offers three beautiful studios completely redone in autumn 2016 for a carefree, relaxing holiday. All studios have a full kitchen resp. Kitchenette and a private terrace with Weber grill. The harmonious and well maintained garden with swimming pool and large wooden deck is located on the same level and invites you to linger and relax. Armadillo Studios is located in a quiet residential area, just over 5 minutes from the city center.

Studio 2 (42.5m2)
This exceptionally spacious studio is suitable for two to four people and is ideal for wonderfully relaxing days as well as for romantic wellbeing days and honeymoons. The recently renovated studio with its modern, imaginative and tasteful design and the excellent interior and exterior invites guests to feel right at home.

The suite is equipped with two comfortable double beds, large fitted wardrobes, a living area with sofa and two armchairs, coffee tables and flat screen TV (satellite TV DSTV Premium), a small table and a new high quality kitchenette with all necessary appliances such as refrigerator, microwave, one Induction hot plate, kettle and toaster.

The private bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet is stylishly designed with slate and mosaic wall tiles. Our guests can use hand, shower, pool and beach towels.

On the private terrace (14m2) is in addition to outdoor seating and a Weber charcoal grill with all the necessary barbecue material - that is: everything you need is there to prepare your own breakfast or a light meal. If you do not want to cook yourself, you will find innumerable pretty and delicious cafes and restaurants within a few minutes' drive, offering something for every taste and every budget.

The accommodation is embedded in a large and unique garden. Many indigenous plants provide shade, flowers and fruits provide food for insects and birds. We offer a harmonious base from which our guests can explore the area and the legendary scenery of Knysna or relax after a busy day. Armadillo`s garden is a real little paradise!

Pool and wooden deck
Do you want to unwind your soul in the hammock, sunbathe in our loungers in the garden oasis, or may it be a refreshment in the pool? All this is for you to enjoy. The water is cleaned in an environmentally friendly and clean way. A special device uses salt to produce natural chlorine from electrolysis because bathing is even more fun without chemical additives.

Lapa & Grill
The traditional Lapa (a small African shelter with a thatched roof) is equipped with a picnic table and is perfect for an aperitif, a barbecue or a "schlummi". Under the lapa you will find (in addition to the charcoal grills on the private studio terraces) nor a Weber gas grill with all the necessary accessories for a delicious barbecue.

Fireplace:
What's more romantic than gathering by the fire in the evening after an eventful day, telling stories and looking at the clear starry sky? The fireplace is equipped with plenty of seating and is available to our guests at all times. Of course, we ask our guests, before leaving to make sure that the fire or embers pose no danger.

The Armadillo is our holiday home and we are in Knysna several times a year for a few weeks. Then we love to receive our guests in person and to give them many tips and advice on request and to chat with them. When we are working in Switzerland, Mike Hazell, our established Property Manager, will be at your side checking in and out with his team and will gladly answer your questions.
