Positive: Cannot beat this hotel for location in downtown Perth. It’s right at the mall, a couple of minutes walk from the train station, an easy amble down to Elizabeth Quay, has buses outside the door, and loads of food options nearby. The hotel itself is really good too - great room & bathroom facilities, very comfortable bed, air conditioning that doesn’t make a sound and, for the most part, pretty quiet once you’re in your room. On the would I stay there again meter? Probably. But really glad I booked a few weeks out, once I saw what the prices did closer to the stay!!

Negative: Very thankful for the food locations close by because truly, the room service menu is far too eclectic. If you wanted a sandwich, avocado on bread was the closest you’d get outside of a burger (I’m veg, so no options there). And couldn’t understand why the ground floor cafe wasn’t open over the weekend? Also, the bathroom - I don’t get it. Bathtub, which was a huge drawcard for me, is far too big for one (obviously built for 2) and without any type of head rest, simply couldn’t get comfortable, let alone traction. And then the open space shower, which just wet the whole bathroom. Don’t get it. And while the lower lighting option is great for most of the time (really liked it!), a magnifying make-up mirror would solve a lot of problems, including mirrors being too far away. Thankfully the hallway mirror worked. Sure, first world problems - but having stayed in hundreds of hotels through the years, these are the things you really notice. And make a stay less enjoyable than it could be.
