Welcome to our Southold home, our home away from home. We invite you to stay in our air conditioned home and enjoy all the amenities especially our new heated pool!

We know you will enjoy our outdoor spaces by reclining poolside, unwinding on the deck, showering in the outdoor shower or toasting marshmallows at the fire pit. The backyard is truly an oasis and makes you feel like you're a million miles away from reality. If you're in the mood for some competition we have several backyard games for your entertainment!
The sun room is a great space for you to enjoy your morning coffee and/or any meal of the day. The top shelf of the buffet table has placemats and/or napkins for you use. We ask that you have your meals on the deck, in the sun room or kitchen.
The kitchen is equipped for making any meal of the day. The cabinet above the coffee pot has disposable products, paper plates, plastic cups and napkins. The second cabinet has coffee cups, glasses and plastic cups. The last cabinet before the sink has wine glasses, both plastic and glass.
The dishwasher is below the coffee pot. Please select the type of wash, normal and press start. The sink is great to wash and even dry a few items in it. There is soap, sponges and plenty of cleaners to wash up light spills etc. The double cabinet above the toaster oven has everyday dishes and serving pieces. There are breakable and plastic dishes ad bowls. The two drawers under the toaster oven have dish towels and additional serving pieces and measuring cups. The double cabinets contain mixing bowls, colander, pots and pans.
The stove is a gas stove. When you turn it on you will hear a clicking sound and then it will ignite. Please remember to turn the dial to off when you’re finished cooking. The cabinet next to the stove has a few necessities: salt, pepper, seasoning, breadcrumbs, and olive oil….
The frig contains a few staples such as coffee, reamer, ketchup, mustard. There are ice trays for ice cubes. Please refill when you use them.
The living room is a comfortable space to relax, watch TV or catch up on your emails.

TV: It’s a 55” High Definition TV/with remote for your use.
The closet by the front door has a lightweight vacuum, broom and dustpan if needed. The master bedroom has clean sheets and a light blanket. There is plenty of room in the dresser or closet to put away your clothing.
The linen closet is in the hallway and has extra sheets and beach towels.
The Bathroom has a double switch by the sink for a light and a fan. Please use the fan when using the shower. Towels are available for house guests. There is also a first aid kit and hand steamer in the closet for you.
There is a beach and park at Founders Landing. It is a quick walk down Old Shipyard Lane and a left onto Hobart Road.
There are also four beach chairs and two adult bicycles in the garage for you to enjoy the sunshine!

Summary: Liked property! Kitchen well stocked with condiments, etc. Only problem was with intermittent internet access--we had to redo on 3 separate days. Outdoor shower (we did not need to use) needs cleaning.

Summary: This was our 3rd time staying here because we love it so much. The location is close to all the beach, town and vineyards with lots of other activities and fun towns to visit like Greenport. The house is always very clean, well kept, beautiful yard and has all the amenities you need. We love having a pool which is hard to find in this area with smaller rental homes. We def plan to come back! Thank you Skip!

Summary: This was our second time staying here as a family. We had a wonderful time. The house is set up well, in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach and wonderful restaurants and vineyards. Beautiful area to bike yard. House is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need. We felt right at home and kids enjoyed the pool. We look forward to our next visit!

Summary: This was our second stay at Captains Cove. My husband and two young children truly enjoyed a relaxing week in Southold. The home, grounds and pool are kept up beautifully. Summary: This house was exactly what I needed. Adorable, well maintained house with all the thoughtful necessities. The pool was a dream with a large 3ft section, a fire pit, lighted porch, small grill - every detail. The hosts could not have been more communicative with things to do nearby and responsive to any q’s . It was very welcoming. The town of southold is walkable and situated very close to many great wineries and close to greenport. A great in between spot to chill. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!
