Positive: Well first off the absolute best thing is the location. It is literally on the waterfront across from the beach and walking distance from a bunch of shops and restaurants. The room was large for the price and had a whole sit down tub and not just a shower, which I think was the only one I seen during my whole 10 days. There's an indoor heated swimming pool that unfortunately I didn't have the time to try. There is a relatively cheap breakfast buffet (about $15 USD). Tons of on site parking that they didn't charge for and I didn't have to bother with putting something on my dash, which was great after days of hiking and my legs/ankles being beat. It was cold in NZ when I went but the temperature control in the room worked like a charm.
Negative: Nothing really, the only possible negative thing I can think of I'd have to be pulling at straws for and complaining just for the sake of complaining. If I have to say one thing though, the hash browns at the breakfast tasted lukewarm and like they were sitting there for a while, but they were running out and I grabbed the 4 of the last 5 so it was at the end of the batch so I don't even think that qualifies as a valid complaint.
Summary: Great value for price. Location is SUPERB.

Positive: Location was good, hotel stay it self was good and the facilities were ok,
Negative: Wasnt too happy at been asked to pay $200 deposit due to no credit card then also paying for my stay. I have never been requested to pay such an amount as a deposit, normal debit card was not acceptable, but I could use debit card to pay. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Positive: Had dinner in the restaurant the extras that I ordered were forgotten about the male staff member when i asked for the food was rude and walked to the kitchen grunting. (Very disappointed with his service however the lady she was awesome and apologetic.
