Positive: Quiet, comfortable hotel near Riesel, which was important for us during this trip! The price of the room was good too!
Negative: There were construction workers at the hotel, so they cleaned out the breakfast foods before we had a chance to get down for breakfast.

Positive: Either do breakfast right or not at all. Under previous management - and I stayed there a lot, the breakfast consisted of a balanced meal with eggs, fresh made pancakes, fruit, cereals/milk, juices, etc. A good breakfast makes for a good start. Otherwise, don't bother.
Negative: I have stayed at this hotel since it first opened under a different ownership. It was as a new hotel should be and a welcome change to the community. However, over the years and with the change in ownership, I have seen a slow decline. While the hotel is still clean, there is too much "out of order" with amenities such as drink machines, exercise equipment, broken chairs arms, first floor public bathroom. When I stayed two months ago, the room I had was very humid and the bed linens were extremely thin, and there was no hot water for a shower. However, the bed linens during this stay were much better. The shower water was hot and the room was comfortable. The inconsistency is a challenge. While the hotel staff is very pleasant and tries very hard to please, some things are beyond their control and should be addressed by management.
Summary: My stay this time was comfortable. Did not experience breakfast.

Positive: It was quiet. No noise, and I was not disturbed. I was in town for a funeral.
Negative: The shower curtain had mold at the bottom, and the bed sheets didn't appear to be clean. I went out and bought sheets and towels for my stay. I Lysoled down everything.
