Located just north of the PA/NY line, 5 min from Genesee, PA and 15 min to Wellsville, NY. This is the perfect place to allow nature to breathe fresh air back into the chaos of everyday life.
Arrive in a wildlife oasis in the Genesee river valley. Use our cozy home to rediscover yourself and reconnect with friends and family. Once you’ve unpacked and made it your own, kick back and relax – or start journeying.
The adventure you’re longing for is waiting right outside the front door. Kick up your feet in the yard, surrounded only by the sounds of wildlife making their way out of the woods into the expansive fields. If your adventure requires a more avid, hands-on approach, take a short walk or bike down the barely traveled dirt road connected to your driveway. There you’ll find an access point to the popular WAG trail. At this year-round trailhead, you can hike, bike, fish, ride horseback, ski, snowshoe, snowmobile, and more.
Within less than a mile car ride, explore various other Genesee River parking areas, ideal for kayaking, wading, and fishing off the bank. The Genesee River is a popular year-round brown and rainbow trout fishing destination. The river’s 18 miles of public fishing access are extensively stocked each spring with 20,600 yearling brown trout and 6,200 yearling rainbow trout.
In addition to traditional stocking, 2,300 two-year-old brown trout averaging 14 inches long are also stocked yearly. We’re located just five minutes from a bait shop, so no worries if you forget – or run out of – any supplies.
If you don’t feel like catching and cleaning your dinner, we’re located just five minutes from Genesee’s grocery stores. Also, in 15 short minutes, you’ll find yourself in Wellsville’s quaint downtown restaurant and shopping district.
At the end of your “who-cares-what-time-it-is” day, we encourage you to step outside into true, uninterrupted darkness. Here the stars are immeasurable and your only source of light.
Each day you wake up in the guest house, you have 24 renewed hours. We know these hours go quickly and the focus on your stay should be on your loved ones.
