Summary: Great place to stay as a couple with a dog. Very small place, but it is very well equipped. When the sun is out, you can enjoy the big south-facing terrace, when it gets cold you can heat the wood burner (it gets very hot very quickly). Our dog had fun in the big garden, with the neighbouring dogs and the private access to the brook under the nearby hill, as well as all the smells of wildlife (wild boars foraging in the neighbouring woodland, occasional deer viewings). Plenty of walks all around, from the Saint Quirin hiking area starting right across the street to the Donon hike at a 20-minute drive, Lac de Pierre Percée and many more tourist attractions either with or without dogs. Shopping requires a short drive, as well as restaurant visits. The only downsides for us were the mattress on the big bed (needs replacing, not for weak backs) and the fact that the traditional oven was (temporarily) out of order.

Summary: This chalet is a total gem! Clean and practical with everything needed for a fam getaway, The area is so peaceful, and those hiking trails are lit, The hosts were friendly and made everything easy, 10/10 recommend!

Summary: Ik kom hier nu al 3 jaar 1 a 2x per jaar. Zie ook mijn eerdere reviews. Voor mij en mijn hond is dit de perfecte plek. Het chalet heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, de veranda heeft heel veel zon, bij teveel zon is er voldoende schaduw en ook afkoeling bij het riviertje. Mijn hond geniet erg van de ruime en goed omheinde tuin en samen genieten we van de prachtige wandelingen in de bossen. Die starten tegenover het huisje of ik rijd in 5 minuten naar la Grande Basse waar vandaan ook hele mooie wandelingen te maken zijn, bv route 2 (geel) waarbij je onderweg een fantastisch uitzicht hebt. Verder is het heel rustig. Ik hou ervan!

Summary: Propere chalet , zeker voldoende keukengerei aanwezig en huisraad ,gelegen in een prachtige bosrijke omgeving met veel wandelmogelijkheden , riviertje achteraan de omheinde tuin , een leuke verfrissing met het warme weer , enige minpunt de bakker en winkel is niet naast de deur , een vriendelijk welkom en een flesje koud van de eigenaar , voor ons zeker geslaagd

Summary: Het huisje is basic maar alles is er wat we nodig hadden.. Daarnaast heerlijk relaxen op de veranda met een gezellige picknicktafel en evt stoelen voor als je wat fijner wilt zitten. We hebben vooral genoten van de grote tuin waar onze hond heerlijk kon rennen en snuffelen. Waar we letterlijk een balletje in konden gooien. Helemaal veilig omheind. Af en toe vriendelijk snuffel contact met de buurhonden. Ook het beekje is ontzettend leuk om af te koelen en in te spelen. In de omgeving veel wandelingen te maken. De toeristische punten zijn toch wel wat verder weg. Voor ons is dit huisje echt een aanrader.. Als je een hond hebt, niet al te veel luxe hoeft, van wandelen en rust houdt, dan is dit de perfecte plek.

Summary: Even moeten wachten bij aankomst op een mevrouw die de belangen behartigd voor de eigenaren. Mevrouw sprak geen Engels en wij geen France, maar uitleg prima begrepen. Met de eigenaren alleen gecorrespondeerd via sms. Het huisje is precies zoals op de foto's. Een klein houten huisje met een veranda. Beneden één tweepersoons slaapkamer, woonkamer met twee lounge stoelen en een tafel met 4 stoelen, goed werkende, volledige keuken en een kleine, maar goed werkende douche. Via een smalle trap zijn er boven nog 3 eenpersoonsbedden. BLIJ met de airco die er stond echter moet deze met een slang naar buiten waardoor je weer veel insecten binnenhaalt. Het is erg afgelegen, perfect voor een weekje rust. Als je meer wilt ondernemen dan alleen wandelen moet je minimaal 1 uur rijden voor activiteiten. Omgeving en dorpen leken onbewoond, supermarkten/bakkerijen moeilijk te vinden. De weg voor het huis is inderdaad. geliefd bij motorrijders (terecht), maar kan als vervelend ervaren worden vanwege de herrie. Minder waren de insecten die na zonsondergang kwamen waardoor het niet prettig was op de veranda. De stoelen op het terras zijn niet van top kwaliteit en hebben geen kussens. De eetkamer stoelen krijg je ook een houten kont van. Wij zijn naar Straatburg geweest (aanrader), het meer Pierre-Percée, elektrisch mountainbiken in Gérardmer en daar naar het dorp/meer geweest. Ook naar het kleine meertje in Abreschviller, maar dat was niet zo. We mochten op het terrein een vuur maken en het hout gebruiken van onder de veranda. Dat was erg leuk en hier hadden we bijna geen last van insecten. Anti insectenspray is wel prettig om bij je te hebben. WiFi was perfect! Bijzonder is, als je geduld hebt en lang wakker kunt blijven, uitkijken naar de herten die op je terrein komen eten. Ook rondrijden in de omgeving tegen de avond/nacht heb je kans om veel herten te zien. Wij hebben genoten van de vrijheid, het huisje en de natuur.
