In the heart of the Amboise Touraine vineyard, near the Château de Chenonceau and 10 minutes from the royal city of Amboise, come and enjoy the comfort of the "La Longère" gîte.
This character house, completely renovated and furnished with care, is ideally located for exploring Tours, Amboise and the Loire Castles as well as the Beauval zoo. In the calm of a very peaceful hamlet, you can enjoy beautiful walks from the gîte, on foot or by bike, through the vineyards or along the banks of the Cher. On sunny days, you can also admire the many hot air balloons that fly over the gîte to the Chenonceau castle.
On a pleasant enclosed garden with trees of 1400m2 with terrace, the gîte offers 130m2 of living space: a large living room of 42m2, an equipped kitchen, and 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6: one bedroom with 160X200 bed, one bedroom with 140X190 bed, one bedroom with 2 90X200 beds), 3 separate toilets, 1 bathroom and 1 shower room. Fully equipped (washing machine, dishwasher etc.) it also has an internet connection.
Possibility of cleaning and rental of bed linen. Baby equipment available on request.

Summary: We chose Thoré as a base for daily outings to the castles of the Loire and other sites. Nathalie is a very pleasant host and made us most welcome upon arrival. The house is well equipped with dishwasher, Internet - all that is needed. As the house is located in a quiet village with a large garden, we enjoyed being able to relax. In Bléré, shopping is no Problem at all..... And you can almost walk to Chenonceau….

Summary: Very private light and airy house with wonderful garden and outdoor facilities. Nicely tucked away but just a short drive from the town and several great chateaux. Light and modern interior, perfect for a family holiday. Hard to beat.

Summary: We stayed here with two small children and had a great time. The house is spacious and will equipped. Outside is an excellent terrace with shadow in the afternoon. The garden is really large and well suited for children. Groceries can be done in Bléré, which is located a few kilometres away. We experienced very hot weather (37 degrees Celsius) during our stay: the owner provided two fans for cooling the house, because the bedrooms were very warm.

Summary: We recently spent an amazing week in the Loire, and Nathalie's lovely cottage was the perfect home base. The home is a 200 year old cottage, yet it has been beautifully updated with all the modern luxuries, and still has so much of its original charm. And it's so spacious! Our kids were thrilled to have their own bedrooms. And the main floor living room/dining room area was very large and nicely decorated (a great place for relaxing). We loved cooking in the spacious/modern kitchen too! Just minutes away from the town and Chateau of Amboise as well as Chateau Clos Luce and Chateau Chenonceau, it was a very central location. We also enjoyed visiting Blois, Tours, Chateau Chambord and Chateau Villandry on our visit ( which were easy day trips). A huge "thank you" to Nathalie, for being such a friendly host and being so accommodating with several changes to our travel dates that we needed to make, as well as helping us with my many questions we had about the area. (and thanks also for the bottle of wine and goodies that you left for us to enjoy!) The cottage was a haven to come back to at the end of our adventurous days - it was so nice to sit in the huge backyard terrace with a glass of Loire wine and watch the balloons float by overhead and the sunset. So peaceful! We absolutely loved this place and look forward to coming back! Cindy & Dave V.
