Positive: Clean comfortable quiet

Negative: Insufficient pots and dishes. Insufficient towels and tea towels. No shower curtain so floor a bit dangerous. Outside bin full so we couldn’t get rid of refuse. It of a hike to trams and trains.

Positive: - The pricing of the unit was fair. - It is a unit, not a hotel or anything similar, it's basically the bottom floor of a section of flats, it has it's own little patio and you will be left to yourselves for your stay. - The surrounding area was very nice, Northcote is host to lots of really fun bars and fun things to do. - The air conditioning was nice, we never had a problem with the temperature of the place

Negative: - I found the communication with the owner to be little lacking, which I think could have mostly been the result of booking.com's messaging system. If i were to give any advice, it would be seek messaging the owner through sms/phone call, as I think the system that is currently in place isn't pushing messages properly. I felt a few of my questions were left unanswered. (I had asked if there was somewhere I could leave my luggage as i was going to arrive early. Which never got answered.) - There was initial confusion over when we could check in, I asked if I could arrive early (I said I was going to arrive at 07:00 (7am) and asked it that would be okay. They said it was, but when we got there. The room was not ready. I think the owner may have confused 7am for 7pm. So we had to spend 7 hours after a red-eye flight walking around the suburbs with our heavy luggage. Luckily we found a local cafe that said they could host us in the meantime... - If you want to arrive earlier than 2pm, then you need to book an extra day earlier. - On the final day of our stay, we were told we could checkout late if we wanted. Which was nice in theory, However we received this text at 10:30 on the checkout day. (checkout time was 10:00) Which was a little too late as we had already spent the morning scrambling to get everything ready for us to leave and were on our way to a different location. - The main TV had some damage and the chrome-cast that was left there was buggy and slow. Both seem overdue for a replacement. (You are much better off bringing your own laptop or similar and connecting that to the TV) - Whilst the location is nice enough, if you want to walk into the main hub of restaurants/bars, it's a good 20minute walk. (If you have any mobility issues, you will need to rely on ride-share services.) - Most of the condiments and other consumable things left in the unit were expired by at least a year..
