Located in the quiet eastern part of the most beautiful coast in Europe, on a hillside between Olhão and Tavira, in a garden of over 3000m² with a private pool, palm trees, fruit, olive and carob trees, stands the Villa Diana, built in 1992 in Moorish style. Inside there are two bedrooms and a large bathroom with shower and bathtub. The 40m² bright living room with dining table is followed by the open kitchen and a laundry room. The elegant spiral staircase leads to the small tower room, where there is another sleeping option for one person (on request - for a fee). Next door is the large roof terrace with sun loungers, table and chairs.
Further sunny and shady resting places are available around the villa. A lovely garden has been created on the back, an outdoor shower provides refreshment in the meantime. Towards the pool area there is a covered terrace directly in front of the large living room window with a view of the neighbouring rock garden and under the large carob tree you can enjoy the penumbra in a particularly romantic way.
All of this is exclusively available to Villa Diana guests. The landlord lives temporarily 30 meters behind the holiday home, separated by a high oleander hedge, but it protects the privacy of visitors.

Summary: Really enjoyed our stay. Might be better with AC in the summer and prepare for unpaved roads but very peaceful with a great view.

Summary: Nicely landscaped property, very well maintained. House is even nicer than the pictures show, everything is well kept and tastefully decorated. Every window has a screen (this is not always the case when renting a house!). It was so nice to have windows and doors open all the time. We enjoyed the house very much and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Summary: I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa in the Algarve, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and found the villa to be even more beautiful than the photos. The location is perfect—tucked away in a peaceful area, yet still close to all the attractions and stunning beaches the Algarve has to offer. The villa itself is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with all the modern amenities you could wish for. We particularly loved the outdoor space; the private pool was a highlight, perfect for relaxing on sunny days, and the garden was well-maintained, offering a tranquil escape with plenty of seating areas. The bedrooms were comfortable, with plenty of storage space. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the large dining area was perfect for family dinners. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, providing excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Overall, this villa provided the perfect base for our holiday in the Algarve.

Summary: We went in January for 8 days and discovered we had to pay for gas (for the heating), the electricity and even the firewood (per kilo) just to keep the villa warm. Overall it added circa 10% to the cost. The villa was nice, but down a single lane dirt track which was difficult to find in the dark. There is no ACUs - I'm sure the location is fine in the summer season but we will not be returning for a winter trip again.

Summary: The villa was beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Stunning views of the surrounding countryside and ideal for the quiet relaxing holiday we needed. Sadly the only 2 negatives were firstly the weather towards the end of the first week could have been better, COVID-19 lockdown at home causing the cancellation of our return flight meant we had to cut short and return home early. We’re looking forward to returning at a more secure time though.

Summary: Lovely house, kind and service minded landlord and very private, as we like it, no neighbours but still not far from town and ocean, car is needed. Only minus which goes for whole Portugal and even Spain are the hysterical barking dogs people have everywhere but it's included.. Algarve is the place to be and retire in.
