Positive: This little gem is in the absolute best spot in the valley, in the middle of nowhere surrounded by amazing views! The house w/infinity pool view and small staff are amazingly friendly helpful and knowledgeable! The quality of food and, of course, the wine and port are top notch! We came on our bikes and they offered(helped it with) a car ride a/our bikes and luggage back up the hill when we left!

Negative: There is not a thing we didn’t like!

Summary: Highly recommend this gem!! Book as soon as you can, they only have 4 rooms!!

Positive: At Quinta da Gricha, I stayed with a group of friends and it was an absolutely exceptional experience. The accommodation offers only four rooms, and since we occupied three of them, we practically had the whole place to ourselves, which created a wonderfully private and relaxed atmosphere. The care and hospitality we received from Guilherme were unlike anything we’ve experienced anywhere else. He was incredibly welcoming and genuine, and throughout our stay we felt as if he was one of us, not just a host. And the views? They are simply indescribable — breathtaking from every corner of the property. I’ll just repeat myself: PERFECTION!!! 👌

Positive: My wife and I had a fantastic stay here for 3 nights. If you are put off by the reviews mentioning the remoteness of the property. Don’t be, it is a wonderful experience. Guilherme and Telemo will make you feel right at home. And the view….photos cannot do it justice. Both Guilherme and Telemo provide wonderful wine tasting. They are very knowledgeable about the local wines and the area. Also great effort as a concierge getting other restaurant reservations for us. Pros Very clean Beautiful property Great breakfast Great hosts and servers Great communication including English. Very friendly and knowledgeable about area and wine Cons None. PS. If hiring a car I would recommend Apple Car Play and automatic transmission.

Positive: The location among the rolling hills of the Douro, overlooking the river is magical. Very private with only 4 rooms and 8 maximum guests. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating, they met our every need. Common areas are beautiful, especially the terrace. Rooms are large and comfortable, the food delicious.

Negative: A bit off the beaten track but well worth the extra twists and turns.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay. The views you have from the Douro river are stunning. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the dinner options they offered were also excellent. Finally, and most important, the wines produced there are really good.

Positive: This was amazing!! Our best stay in Portugal. Loved it. Make sure you do a tour, taste the port and have the dinner option. Breakfast was yummy too. Walking around the vines was great. We ended up taking with all the other guests having a glass of wine. So great!

Positive: Absolutely beautiful property, the staff were amazing particularly Guilherme who was so helpful and friendly in making sure everything we needed and wanted was in place for us. The wine tour was excellent, the tasting was excellent and the pool was the stuff dreams are made of! The local food we had for dinner especially the tomatoes and the boar were excellent, we couldn’t recommend enough!

Negative: The road in was a bit hairy but once you were there the feelings melted away within seconds

Summary: The absolute best, what a place!!
