Summary: It is an amazing hotel that is very modern and comfortable. I love all the art displayed everywhere. The breakfast offered many choices. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. I want to come back when the lavender is in bloom.

Summary: This hotel was the highlight of our Portuguese honeymoon. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful- even making a reservation at a restaurant in town for us (A Confraria, it was DELICIOUS). The rooms are clean and spacious, the house smells like lavender, breakfast was great, and don't miss out on their homemade ginja!

Summary: Relax, read a book, have a drink, walk around and have a good rest. A very nice quiet place to relax as you feel that you are at your own house. There is plenty of field space for walking and exercising. We had a great sleep and a great breakfast. The owners are great and try to make yourself comfy. We came on winter so we did not see the blossoming lavender fields nor used the pool. And there was a storm passing by. Even with all these cons, we did enjoy our stay. I would probably come back to see and smell the lavender fields in the future. And I definitely recommend this stay to someone looking to be in a natural surrounding, far away from the crowd and noise. Definitely need a car to move around the area. No bistro but the breakfast will give you a boost of energy to start your wonderful day.

Summary: The location was very nice with all those lavander fields. The rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated. Bed was confortable enough and I'm picky. The breakfast is amazing lots of local produce, bread, cheeses, cured meats and local pastry. There is a swimming pool outside but it was closed cause its still chilly outside. Cant wait to get back in the summer to check out the blooming lavander fields.

Summary: We definitely want to return to Quinta das Lavandas and bring our friends. A modern farm stay (olive oil and lavender) near the medieval towns of Marvão and Castelo de Vide. The gracious hosts, Teresa and Estevāo, are full of ideas for activities such as dining and hiking, and will draw you custom maps. We liked the breakfast buffet and their homemade Ginja (cherry liqueur). You can reserve a particular room. We liked the Carvalho room with its private patio upstairs. It has a good view of the starry sky at night, and you can work on your tan in the daytime.
